"I think he's sadly going to lose or its going to be another fix to keep the gravy train flowing "
If he wins it wont be a fix. Khabib is 26-0.the only hope the ufc have of a star in the post Conor era. They may be biased but they don't fix fights. Conor wouldn't have lost to Diaz if they did. To be fair, love or hate his personality, Conor is one of the very greatest Irish sports people in history. |

He lost to Diaz because Diaz is a black belt in Brazilian jiujitsu.
McGregors strength lays in boxing.
Same now with This fight.
He has a chance if the Russian doesn't get him on the ground.
If he does McGregor will loose.

There is more of a possibility of him losing if it goes to ground, but , Chad Mendes was also a far superior wrestler who kept trying to go to ground and Conor fought threw it and ended up knocking him out... |

I'm not a huge UFC fan & could count on one hand the amount of UFC fights I've watched (one's with Conor in them...)
but is fight fixing prevalent in the sport? |

True it's not so black and white as if Conor has no grappling.
I think Conor could possibly survive a few grappling exchanges in the first round or two (get his back off the cage and get his striking distance back or even possibly scramble back to his feet if he is taken down). However if khabib can pressure him to the cage all night Conor is in for a long night.
I still fancy another ridiculous McGregor performance and a 2nd round ko. |

He lost to diaz cause they are naturally the same weight.
Connor usually fights people a lot ligther than himself. Before in the UFC no one, and I mean NO ONE, went down to fight lightweights, as there was no money in it.
The lightweights were all naturally small guys, they would fight each other in high speed, high intensity matches and it was always a fun warm up for the big boys.
Conor knows that Irish people have money, that if he could beat up a small lightweight then Irish people would throw money at him and he could create buzz.
So he lost the weight and fought a lightweight.
These guys had never fought anyone so big in their whole life, they never had to, they were not ready to take the heavier punches, so they were easy to beat.
Irish people threw money but everyone wanted to see him fight someone his own weight.
Diaz was picked, and the fight happened, and Diaz ate up his punches and won, and diaz is not an all time great. He is put in matches to take punches and put on a show. He isn't a champion. He is someone a champion can beat the shit out of for a few rounds.
Mcgreggor then went on to fight in boxing, and it was laughable how bad he did. He was basically toyed with by an old retired man.
He is back in ufc, and he once again is fighting someone lighter than himself, but this time its not by much. Khabib has been following the mcgreggor guide book, his reputation is also built on beating the shit out of smaller people and he has never fought anyone his own natural weight or bigger to my knowledge.
So all in all, its just two fucking gimps afraid to fight in their own weights making millions off Irish people. |

Nothing but respect for anyone who works their way from the bottom to the top.
Conor has shown if you want something bad enough and believe in yourself and the circle of people around you support you anything is possible.
I just think 2 years out of the octagon is too much and might get tapped out.
I hope I'm wrong.
Best off luck you mad fucker |

Am more a boxing fan myself but couldn't agree more...
For a boxer to get his timing back after a layoff usually involves a few warm up fights first... case in point Tyson Fury
McGregor seems to rely a lot on speed, his reflexes, timing with his kicks and punches so to go straight in there again after a 2 year absence from the UFC shows he either has the balls of a lion or an overestimation of himself & his abilities...
Respect though to any fighter who gets into any ring |

Totally right, this man get to the top, he falls down. He try to climb again.
We can criticism him or learn something, your's choice.

McGregor KO second round...Khabib has fought nobody this is his biggest test yet...his ground game is good but not as good as Diaz and he’s smaller soooo for me I think mcgregor will take him, and it’s not all about the ground game remember mcgregor is a brown belt in BJJ so his ground game is pretty good and I’m sure he’s been working on his take down defense....McGregor 2nd round KO |

McGregor has not got in this guy's head yet either.
Last press conference did not go to plan with kabib not waiting for McGregor! |

No one in the UFC fights "in their own weights". Everyone has to cut massive amounts of water weight to weigh in and make their weight class limit and then rehydrate because the sad reality is if you don't, you are giving your opponent a huge advantage and he is likely to be 15lbs (or more) heavier than you on fight night.
Your right in saying that Nate Diaz is not exactly champion material but he is a tough matchup for anyone (iron chin and endless cardio). He also proved to be a tough stylistic match up for Conor.
Conor also moved up to light weight, fought a natural 155r in alvarez and looked amazing dropping him with nearly every clean shot.
Khabib has beaten Gleeson Tibau and Abel Trujilo (probably spelt wrong). This was pre usada where drug testing wasn't as strict as it is now and these two were huge 155rs. Also khabib is a big lightweight himself. Has missed weight several times before due to being big for the weight. He is rumoured to get as heavy as 205lbs. Huge for a guy who fights in a 155lb weight class. So no not quite "Just two fucking gimps afraid to fight in their own weights making millions off Irish people".

"I can’t take it seriously as a sport. It’s nothing more than hyped up pikey bare knuckle fighting like you’d see on YouTube. "
Could not be further from the truth!
Bare knucle fighting is actually fought fairly and with honour believe it or not. MMA is a vocation that athletes dedicate thier lives to. It epitomises a sport in my opinion. |

I Got the round wrong but right result.
You can't take 2 years out of the octagon and expect to compete with a very dangerous opponent like kabib.
I do think Kabib has screwed himself by his actions after and those 3 team mates who are now in jail and who are fighters are finished in the UFC |

30 wouldnt be that old in the ufc most of the top guys are usually between late 20's early 30's, but obviously distractions outside of the ufc have taken a bit of an edge off him, also Khabib is a really really good fighter.
I'd say his heart would be in what ever is going to give him the biggest payday if thats ufc and he has a proper camp before his next fight I wouldnt rule him out of another title |

Haven't watched the fight yet but, do people know why he does what he does?? He said at the start of his career that he seen a way to earn money to provide for his family. Has he not done that? In spades?
He's earned more than most could only dream about.
Yes he's a cocky arrogant prick but the cockiness and arrogance has worked in his favour I think.
Just my opinion

I think that he started off in that vien but then got lost in his own hype machine and the myth overtook the man.
The richer he has become the worse his behaviour has gotten. He has crossed lines that most combat sports promoters would deem unacceptable. So I think peoples opinion of him has changed. As a fan of ufc long before Mcgregoelr the whole sport has lost a little bit of the respect it had with the increase in Money.
I am obviously not a Mcgregor fan.. but fuck me at his peak he is a fantastic fighter |

Just cause someone makes money does not mean you give them a pass. That's how Dennis O'Brien gets away with his shit.
He is shit, he pick on people smaller, beats up people smaller, and makes your kids think drug dealing and cursing, speeding, breaking the law are all cool.
Quit giving him a free pass as you yourself pay him for this privilege. |

As a fan of ufc long before Mcgregoelr the whole sport has lost a little bit of the respect it had with the increase in Money.
I am obviously not a Mcgregor fan.. but fuck me at his peak he is a fantastic fighterwell I've just read all the comments and 99 %of you ufc fans know feck all. Not a fan either
Feck all about?" the result the outcome the money lifter ect |

McTapper got tired and gave up the back again lol
He only had 5 or 10 minutes to put that left hook on Khabib or this was the only outcome
Come on Connor at least let the ch0ke knock you out lol he loves the fast tap
And all the stuff after the fight he deserved every bit of it for what he did in new York with the bus |

Sooo happy to see that ball bag put on his ass! Yes, he came from nothing and made a fortune for his family, but at least have a little fucking humility! He's a disgrace to Ireland |

If you enjoyed that then you are the ballbag. His public personality sells fights. Are you so dim you can't see that? If you can't get behind one of your own that's a sad state of affairs. |

Ireland has produced some great sports stars over the years that you would make u proud to be irish and who were great role models for kids today paul o Connell being one of them i would not put the bar brawler in that category |

Well I couldn't say which one of you is a ballbag as you didn't sign your post to let us know. To say he is a disgrace to Ireland is a joke. Thousands upon thousands of real Irish people beg, borrow and steal to make it to a fucking weigh in ffs because Conor represents us. Perhaps Brexit will teach you the true meaning of humility. |
