No i think it may be enforced already. I know a few years ago it was on the cards but i am not 100% sure if it actually happened yet. |

Points from the south can't be put on a northern licence. There has been a lot of talk about a common points system for Irish & UK licences but it hasn't come about yet. However, if caught speeding in the UK with an Irish licence they will create a'ghost licence' for you & attach points to that. Collect enough points & you're banned in the UK even though you're Irish licence is clean. If you are down regularly it might be a good idea to just pay the fine. If you ever get stopped at a checkpoint here the unpaid fine will show up against your car reg. |

Afraid it work both ways Padrq, better still if you've a ni licence and get points in the south the points stay on your insurance for a min of 5 years.
Feckin insurance scam to draw more money of you. |
