Did you ever receive a negative verification? Of course you won't have displayed it! So what is the point of them when they're pretty much full of shit? I once met a guy who turned up with a big stain on the front of his shirt. Couldn't look me in the eye while we spoke (it's like he was looking over my shoulder!) and barely made any effort in said conversation. (But we did have sex.) I didn't bother to verify him. But yet he has close to 30 verifications saying how great he is and how big his dick is (it isn't!)... Anyway, I know this topic has been done to death...but hey!! |

I look at verifications now as just knowing that the person is real and turns up. I will just have to make my own decisions about them when I meet them because I could find them unreal and the next person could find them unbelievably boring. I do find most verifications are full of crap but hey who doesn't like to hear they are a sex goddess  . I am guilty of leaving 2 crappy verifications were I had to treat it like giving a reference for a job... It's what's not said in it that's the problem |

Op i have bought many shirts since all of them clean!
I went to daring tutorials by a master guru in the opposite sex now i look straight in the eyes my gaze is so piercing i can read your sould!
As far as my dick goes im saving money for a penus enlargement surgery to add an extra 6 inches!
Just kidding... anyways I totally agree there should be a positive negative verification system something like facebook it would certainly give a more round idea of the person in the other side! Maybe suggest it on feedback section

The verification system isn't a failsafe. Plenty of users with buddies on this post buddy references to get them over that hurdle. I'm increasingly skeptical of it.
You never know until you meet someone.
Also, he could have been having an off day. Maybe 90% of the time he looks like Michael Fassbinder but the day in question where you met his murderous ex might have been arund the area and his dog died and he looked more like Michael Moore than Fassbinder.
But I get why you had sex with him. Sometimes you gotta find the truth behind all that online PR faffery... like eating the last donut in the box... you know it's gonna feel gross but you *have* to do it.

It's not easy to walk out when you're already in the hotel room, nevertheless you should if it's not right. I had to do it once and it left me with no accommodation or means to get home at 10pm in the night. Thank goodness I've friends and I learned my bit from that one. |

I don't think there is anything wrong with the veri system. Its miles ahead of something like tinder, where you arent even sure the person is real.
There's lots of dickheads with great veris (I could be one of them for all I know!), but I try and look for people I know who have said something nice about a person or people whose profiles I recognise.
Once I'm fairly sure they are real then I may have a second look, because I love reading about the fun people have had.
But after that, you just have to meet them and see if you get along over coffee or something. And even then, you may not get the same chemistry with them in bed that someone else did.
I dont think you can do Yelp for people without it making a far worse situation than we have now. |

The rest of the world thrives on verifications positive and negative. TripAdvisor and airbnb for example. If you could see the positive and negative verifications certainly help with patterns at least.
For instance if someone had 3 positive verifications and 10 saying "never showed up " that would be very useful.
Problem at the moment is people choose which to display.
Why not have an option to give a positive or negative verification and leave the summary section visible? |

I guess the issue with positive v negative verifications os that you are not rating Business but a person.
