Ok so we need a licence to drive,own a dog,work,race,tv am missing any lol ? We may need a licence to walk down the road next or to swing even ha ha . Any thoughts on this i understand some have great lodgic of course but some i disagree with lol.... |

License to be a cougar too probably 
The tv license bugs me big time - in particular, the fact that they’ve extended it to any media device in the household! |

"You don't strictly need a license to do any of the above, but it does make life a bit easier, my dogs not that bothered about the fact she has no license  "
You get fined if caught I think that is strict?! |

I got rid of my TV, last time I got a notice I rang the number told them no TV in house haven't heard a thing since. And if anything comes of it I'll go to court my son plays Xbox uses it's computer screen etc and don't think we have watched rte in 10 yrs. |

That's true, it's the same as the TV license,
If you have one and let it lapse then you might show up on some pencil pushers database, where as if you're never had one then you're sort of off the grid  |

Nope not at all they just did not change the law to include these forms of media as could not police |

160 X 10 so only a saving of 60 euro a year if you break it down |

Licensing laws are a pain in the ass for all the ligit people but they do come in handy to help out the cowboys. You wouldn't want to be wondering if your doctor is licensed to practice or your gas installer right? If there were no cowboys in the world we wouldn't need licenses |

Need two for a gun? one to use and one to own?
The TV one annoys me the most as RTE is so biased, they dont run stories on their own staff unless they are forced to, they pay their staff enormous money with no real reason why, and it seems to be full of nepotisim as the talent is shockingly low. |

You only need one license per gun you own as far as I'm aware, as for rte, I couldn't give a shite about them ! |
