Looking for advice guys!
Head wrecked. Didnt realise my phone is synced with my sons tablet. When he brings it home my ex has been reading my messages. Message to one particular person are "fab-like" but more texts are very "everyday-like". Turns out my message content has been talked about with others.
Im raging that my messages have been read. Should I be so angry? Why am I so angry? |

Feels like an invasion of privacy I'd be angry too!
Human nature tho to read the messages,I'd like to think I wouldn't if I was your ex but it's like someone saying do not touch the red button.
Not much you can do sadly |

Not nice, I understand that you're angry but op you really have to blame yourself.
My advice make sure that the two devices don't sync anymore in future and check what other apps are linked/synced, clear google history etc. and burry the whole issue, no point talking to your ex. |

good advice re un syncing ... the sync is often a default option with iFones.
you might also want to think about using a second fone for Fab & other non family stuff, the "burner fone" as they refer to it in movies.
also means a disgruntled Fabber canot stalk you on your personal fone

Ok. I don't thonk its any of his business what you do. As another fabber said get the link between your sons tablet and your phone cleared.
If only a few know I would say nothing. When he cant find any more messages he will think you have stopped and it will die a death in a few days.
Thats what I would do anyway. Good luck xx |

Him knowing what you're up to is not the issue really - sure f**K him if he has a problem with it, none of his business. Telling others? I can almost guarantee you they're not really that interested.
The real issue might be that he has evidence of your kid being exposed to stuff they shouldn't be, depending on your kids age. What you did isn't particularly bad, just a silly mistake overlooking the synch - could happen to anyone... and a few fab-like messages is just unfortunate. But, he could twist it. If the separation is in any way acrimonious its just ammunition for him that he could twist.
The important thing is now that you have become aware of it, put the necessary steps in place immediately to stop it happening again. Anyone can make a mistake, and this is the responsible adult reaction to the mistake...and then forget about it. |
