The point is to look fabulous, they're there and do wonders: they make cellulite, spots and scars disappear, give you a tan and blurr your curves to infinity.
You could ask as well why peeps take pics from a certain angle ie cock from below makes it look bigger, body pic from above makes you look slimmer etc etc
Yes the day might come and you meet and you might not look as perfect as you do in your pics. I'd say that most can recognise when filters are applied and know that reality always looks a bit different.
On a side note: there seems to be a trend emerging in the us, peeps trying to achieve photo filter look by cosmetic surgery.  |

They make adults look like childish idiots although i dont know if that was their sole purpose!
They are ok for children to use but once you hit puberty you should stop using them and fukin grow up!!!
