.....is this really news? With all that's going on in the country, homeless crisis, Tuam babies, gangland murders, etc etc etc.
Cant they be left alone to sort out their differences? Do these so called news outlets think this is what people want to hear about? Am I just bring a grumpy old fella?

"Who??
Exactly Sally. I avoid this kind of "reporting"
Leave people to get on with their lives. Sadly OP, yes some people thrive on these kind of senseless stories. "

Its just a side effect of having 24 hours access to news and information I am afraid, these sites need to creatr content and traffic.
Still I think its a small enough price to pay for what we get in return |

Pat on the back to leao and simon harris for abortion and standing up to the pope.
Ignore waiting lists so long people are in danger of being permanently deformed. Ignore that water was withheld from mental patients as punishment for unruly behavior. Ignore the homeless situation which has reached crisis levels. Ignore that the goverment is going to force people to carry out abortions, force them. Ignore that the abortion pill is to be prescribed on the nhs and will likely be prescribed here. Something we were told was barbaric women having abortions at home alone and flushing their baby down the toilet.
This is what happens when people sign up for american style politics. A lot of grand standing, a lot of piling on high visibility issues, a lot of virtue signalling, but not a lot of work done. |

I’m sure there’s many an Irish woman who would’ve loved to be able to abort at home , but instead had to carry a child she didn’t want , god forbid ye want to turn us back another hundred years and ensure women have damn all control over their own lives , cos let’s face it , it’s the women who are always left holding the baby . The news might not be what ye want to hear daily , but at least there’s progress being made , |
