I'm just wondering what peoples ideas are about responding to Messages they get on here...
Now I would not expect anyone to respond to a silly one liner or platitude, or to an inane message, and I know that sometimes people can be inundated with messages and I also know that "no reply" means "not interested", but surely common courtesy would dictate that you respond to a message that has a bit of thought or humour put into it ?
even if it's just a simple "thanks for the message, but we are not interested"
Which takes about 10 seconds to type and send...
Just wondering what people's thoughts are..
Thanks for reading

yep we reply to all messages with a bit of tought in them, and even to some "you look hot fancy a shag" type ones, but we dont always reply to them straight away,it is courtesy to reply, but it is also courtesy to read the profile before messaging which alot of people dont do,lol,,and yes we have been guilty of that aswell, drink is a wonderful thing, lol

not to sound rude in any way, as I would always try to make sure to reply to any msgs where the effort has been put in, but I don't really see the point of people complaining about not getting a reply.
The bottom line is there are all kinds of people on this site, its free, you don't have to pass a personality test to join. So if you choose to send a message to someone and they don't reply then just block and forget about it, all you have to go on is what's written on the profile, you don't know what type of person they are so why expect a response? Also , there is a chance people read a message, mean to reply and then forget to, these things do happen, just my tuppence worth! |

I think too many people take things personally on here. People have busy lives and they are not all considerate or care about how the sender feels if they do not get a reply. I know some women and couples on here that get 30+ mails a day. If i were to get that many a day i certainly wouldnt reply to them all. Your best bet to get to know people on here is in the chat room anyway. |

Thanks for the replies, it's not a complaint, no point in complaining as its just negative...I was just putting it out there because I was curious about what people thought about it, I guess as a man on here I am careful to reply to any winks and messages I get (even from men !!) But I certainly wouldn't expect the same from others, as I said I was just wondering what others views were.

depends how many we need to replay to, but a big give away is if a single male mails us we sometimes dont bother to even look at it as we clearly state no longer looking single males, but couples can be as bad aswell as we like a message if they going to add us as friends if its just a frind invite then we dont bother |

yeah I don't understand why couples do that, they send a friends invite , we send a message then nothing, in fact you have just reminded me to delete a few off our friends list who can't seem to be arsed speaking! |

Jaysus nylons,
They do it the same reason they do me. Because you have pics in your private gallery, and some surfing moron says, oh wonder whats in their private gallery and clicks friend in the hope that you will add them
Now if I am looking at porn and wanking, I like my porn subject to open up and let me view. I dont like it to send me a message saying "Hi, how are you, thanks for wanting to add me, but before I do, tell me about you......"
See? Simples |

"No thanx might just take 30secs to type and send....
BUT you try doing it to over 100 messages.....get very tedious....
"
two things make it a lot quicker in that case, 'ctrl+c' and 'ctrl+v'
(or 'cmd+c' and 'cmd+v' on a mac) |
