Id appreciate peoples thoughts on this, it just struck me earlier seeing a new couple looking for a little information about the swinging scene, the response was minimal to say the least, while the usual threads were getting plenty of traffic.. I was just wondering why this was the case.. |

"People that know eachother will bounce off eachother on the forum.
Newbies and rare contributors (like me) won’t get the same response.
"

I joined the forum 4 years ago. There were rows breaking out everywhere, smartarse comments all over the place and lots of nastiness. I posted when I felt like it, ignored what I didn't want to get involved in and generally did my own thing. I didn't think about whether or not it was welcoming to me, I didn't really care. And I'm still here, so it can't be that unfriendly. |

If you dont mind me saying Sally, i have noticed some of your responses, and i would have to say you are very welcoming, and i dont mean that in an overtly sexual way, although im sure you can do that too |

I see what u saying but they asked a very specific question while mentioning that they were new, if the had opened a thread introducing them selves I am sure there would have being a pleathra of replies. which u see now and again here on the forum |

Thank you. I just remember the stress of posting my first thread on my first forum many years ago, and the fear that nobody would answer it, so I don't like to see a reasonable post ignored or ripped to shreds. |

From my experience on forums, they all pretty much take that same course, they can feel slightly cold and unwelcoming at times, but if you stick with it you kind of find a grove, get the feel for it and things flow smother.
I think that happens because forums are text based, it's hard to convey a tone of voice, there's no feeling in it and you also read it as a monotone voice on your head, it can make it feel a little cold and unwelcoming |

It's a bitch from a man's point of view and a boasting fickle cock from a woman's point of view. Sometimes they clash in 'bad behaviour'. |
