So was chatting to a lady on pof for last few days.She showed my pic to a friend of hers in Kilkenny.This other lady promptly told her I was on fab and showed her my profile.....FFS.... What goes on here should stay on here...some people dont have the brains they were born with...Wonder how she would like to be outed??? |

To be fair you have your face pic pretty public irrespective of glasses so you’re kind of putting yourself out there so to speak. |

To see a person's face, privates & veris on "a swinging site"  can be a bit of a shock to someone who's considering dating you on a vanilla basis....
Tbh Op... POF and Fab are 2 completely different worlds
so ideally one set of pics for POF and another set for FAB here  |

if you are single does it really matter what site you use to try meet people ... if you are single & on FAB are you really a swinger?

Sorry man but that's a tad bit rich, if she said you were on fab, has a massive shlong and was 242/10 in the sack and the said lady fell over all wet, the last thing you'd be doing was posting on here at 11pm on a sat night and it would be the best thing in the world. Having read all above posts and thought about it a little.....I have no problem with my pics.Its the discretion that gets me. How would this lady feel if I outed her on pof or fab.First rule of Fab is and always has been .... keep it secret. Theres plenty of people on here who I have met in ordinary life that I wouldnt dream of outing. |

I agree,the lady wasn't using discretion,and yes I wouldn't be too pleased if it happened to us,but then I don't display face pics on our profile for all to see.
The op has very little to grumble about if someone recognises him.
And theres still nothing in the rules about keeping things secret.that's up to every individual on the site,and i certainly wouldn't trust everyone.

The face pic doesn't give permission for others to broadcast that a person is on fab
I'd have approached the guy and told him I know the person on pof and to let her make an informed decision at least tell her he's on here

Just to clarify I have met loads here at socials and I would recognise them if a friend told me they were meeting them off pof so wheather there's a face pic or not on a profile makes no difference
If I seen them in public a knowing discreet nod and walk on by if I knew them well
I don't think it was done out of spite more consern for her friend just I have a different way of approaching it as would others but to say the guy has no rites because he has a face pic up doesn't sit well

Sorry but having your pic on public has nothing to do with this in my opinion. It's possible to tell your friend stay away from someone without outting them on fab. Regardless of gender, as swingers we rely on the discretion of others here.
Having your pic up is risqué in this country but as said above it's similar to seeing someone at an event or meet. |

SHE told her friend he was on this site. SHE showed his profile to her. SHE was in the wrong. Will she show private pics of a bloke if her friend shows the same pic of a guy she has met on fab......I'd put money on it she would.
All relationships have to start somewhere. How many of us put all our cards on the table after the first few dates? SHE should have given him the chance to tell the friend that he was on here first.

Can never understand the ascertation that people will simply accept to keep secret anything on here ! There is no rule stating anything of the sort . Usually the people on here screaming the need for discretion and n s a have actually no business on a swing site . They are not swingers at all just deluded sorts looking for a free hooker behind their partners back . Never assume everyone here is a cheater with a secret to hide . And if your single and on p o f I see no reason to point out your profile on other sights , at least your honest and free to do as you wish without judgement . |

If you were on another site lets say Tinder and you were outed on that would you be as vocal complaining
Put it down to experience .
If you you value your privacy on a site like this don't have your face on full view. If you do have it like you do I don't see what you have to complain about .

I found out the hard way about having face pics up and I also ran here when recognised in public and it was pointed out I outed myself by having a pic up in the first place even though it was on an old profile someone recognised me anyway so no point crying over spilt milk as they say  |

Op, you have every right to post up face pics anywhere you like but if you do you must also accept any consequences that may arise from that action....good or bad. I would say you waved your right to privacy by doing so and anything that happens there after lays solely with you, you need to protect your own privacy and not depend on others to do it for you.
Imo the Kilkenny lady did nothing wrong in a legal way. She showed what is a public photo and profile to a member of the public (pof lady) who, let's not forget, also could of accessed the profile and pic herself. Kilkenny lady was under no obligation NOT to show her friend the profile. Morally i think she could of handle this better but we do not know the extent of the friendship the 2 ladies share either.
The pof lady is the innocent party here, she clearly didn't want to be dating a "swinger" (I use that term lightly) because if she did, she would of set up her own account on here. She didn't have all the info available to her so was making a discission without knowing the full story..or from her point of view she was chatting to someone who wasn't 100% forthcoming and saw it as a red flag (but to be fair, no one is 100%, that goes against human nature).
Lastly I would say to the op, you have every right to post up anything you like (within the forum rules of course) but maybe, and this is just my opinion, discretion is the better part of valour here. I can only base my option of you based on this thread......and other potential fab meets you may have in the future will do the same.
