Anyone else get the fear when it comes to exchanging face pics.
It's not the fear of rejection..we cant be everyone's cup of tea. More the fear of what that person(s) will do with the images then saved to their device.
Do you send them? How do u do send them? What precautions do you take?

My advice is watermark any pic here be that face pic or not. That way at least if someone takes one of your pics they can't easily use it as their own. I use Photoshop for this but there are several apps etc that do it. With face pics in also very paranoid. I only share those with someone with several credible verifications.
Those steps at least reduce the risk somewhat |

We used to send them via photobomb on K!K but that features is gone now... It would display the pic once for a set amount of time then vanish. If screenshotted It would alert the sender. Was a great function.
I wonder is there anything similar available?? |

Have no problem sending face pic but it should be reciprocated and if not there should be a name and shame even if you don't want to meet as it's only manners, there in lies the weariness when someone receives your photo and nothing in return. |

No one is obliged to send you a face pic in return for an unasked for one from you. I never ask without sending mine, and if asked for one I reply 'asker sends first'. I only send to well verified people who have been on the site for a good long time. It's not foolproof but you have to have a little trust sometimes. |

I'm not too fussed if someone steals my naked selfies..
They are not directly linked to my everyday life and you can't stop the fakes so I don't waste time worrying there and I'd never add face to a naughty snap. Unwritten rule!
I would love to find a more controlled way of sending a face pic.
Do people ever Cam instead of sending pics? Or is that worse...

I have no fear of rejection... If we are not for you that's perfectly fine... It's more the fear of pics being shared or used by pic hunters or worse |

Good thread OP.
I was chatting to someone for a while got on really well. Decided to meet so swapped face pic. This guy was well verified? Things went a bit sour so I had my reservations. I've a good memory and things he had said didn't add up. Long story short..... when I said thanks but no thanks he threatened to set up a profile with my face pic. So lesson learnt that day. Be careful who you share you FACE with. |

Fear realised!! OMG!! How did you overcome that? Did report and block work as that seems to be our only option. Like how much can u trust any profile on an anonymous swinging site. Verified or not... Nobody really knows anybody.. A level of risk will always be undertaken but what ever measures can be taken to reduce them risks should be applied and respected. |

Tried it last night to send to a potential. Well verified, friendly chatting on/off for what feels like forever. But it seems K!k have moved on from photobomb. And the suggestion of sending a normal pic filled me with dread! |

Yep. Blocked and reported. I also sent an email to admin with the pic I shared and explained what happened. Profile gone but I've seen similar ones crop up. |

I don't think about it too much.
Anyone who knows me knows I do this so being 'outed' isn't an issue for me at all.
As for using my pics for their own profiles or whatever, there's nothing I can do about it. I put the photos out there originally understanding the potential for someone to act the bollox
It's part of life now that your privacy only goes so far when it comes to using the internet so I just accept it and hope I don't get caught up in any scandal .
I am however, conscious of the type of photos I put out there. Never anything that could potentially get me in trouble. |

People have suggested using a pre-selected image for all face pic swaps. That you can always say it was stolen from elsewhere should it ever pop up with reference to this site or others in the vanilla world.
Mr found a pic of him being used on a dating site a while back.
What other back up excuses do people have lined up to deal with a face pic crises |

I'm not big on sharing face pics with people within my own county purely for fear of being acquainted with them already,be it the girl who makes your coffee, your bank teller or someone you've done work for etc.
Other counties definitely makes it easier but 1 rule of thumb is I never send or have nude pics with my face included.
If people chose to steal them or try to re-use them elsewhere it's up to them to prove the face and the body are the 1 person. |

Be sure to never send any play shots that include your face, there is no denying that later.. where if someone has your face it could have just as easily stolen it from FB. Doesnt make much off a difference if someone has targeted you in this way but at least you retain some level of deniability
For us sending facepics to people isnt a problem once theyre a bit of travel away, but anyone from Dublin or closer we would prefer went first |

I really think the kik video might be a good option for well verified profiles.
I also like the deniabilty factor associated with pre-selected images.... Do u use one that's been on fb or else where so u can
validate the "stolen from fb"excuse .... What if its web searched and ur face turns up on a friend's fb profile. And the reciever is a stalker |

There's a certain amount of good faith required but I think cropping pics from Facebook etc is the worst thing to do. There's a traceability there that makes it too easy for weirdos, stalkers and the likes |

We made that mistake before too. Deleted our fb accouns as a result.. Social media is too connected your mobile is required for all apps to work and then they speak to each other ... I only discovered that kik was syncing my contacts too, since edited.
My kik profile pic was the Mrs wearing next to nothing bit hard to explain to friends/family
Fab fone is a good option too... But then how many life adjustments would we end up with just for a bit of naughty play.

Kik photobomb was a great little tool, it’s completely gone, i did a google search for something similar.
I use the kik video chat option most times, it’s really good cause it's nearly impossible to screenshot.
In terms of worrying about people using your photos, on an iphone simply screenshot your own pick and it should give you the option to edit, use the marker option to write your isername on it. |

I can only assume we do show on theirs, but in this case he has spent several hours in hour house and bed, so im sure thats not an issue, but for those who have swapped numbers and then had to reject someone for whatever reason (especially single women) .. could be scary

We don't bother with exchanging pics, some people who look good in pics may for a variety of reasons be utterly unappealing in the flesh, and the converse is also true. We always do social meets anyway, if people are unwilling to meet for a coffee without facepics, that's fine with us, they needn't bother. |

Well I have been told I am ugly after giving a face pic, and that I wasn't their cup of tea and maybe I just take bad pics.
If they really believed that, or if they were just trying to get a dig in cause I rubbed them the wrong way, who knows. Who cares? |

It’s the thing with pics once they are out there you don’t no where they could end up. I won’t send face pics if I don’t want to meet but I won’t know without seeing a face pic but unfair I no but such is life |

I don't mind sending one but I wouldn't send one at the start of a conversation. You'd need to build up some trust first. I also hate when you send one and the other person goes offline after looking at it or doesn't reciprocate after having asked for one in the first place. Grrrrrrrrr! |

We NEVER send face pics - nor do we ask for them.
In fact if someone sent us unsolicited face pics I’d block them - discreet my arse !!

I was on a different site years ago and shared a face pic with the wrong person. They recognised me from where I worked and the threats and "requests" for money started within a few days. I managed to resolve the situation but I've never shared a face pic again. It was a total nightmare for me.
I always offer the person I'm chatting to the option that if we meet and they don't like the look of me then they can walk away, no hard feelings.
Nobody's walked away yet |

The fear I get is, messaging a local female and she asks for a face pic straight away. My worst nightmare is sending one, then the female turning out to be a sister, cousin or even mum!!! I have a lot of admiration for people on here that pubicly show faces, Im just a very private individual |

So true.... but even after long chats and they ask for a face pic swap, and they say you first and you send one and nothing comes back. Obviously because I am just so darn handsome they know they can’t match up my standards !! ;-0 |
