Is it true as once quoted on "the late late show" there is no sex in Ireland after 50 .
Few enough on here active over 50, & those that are seem to be mainly couples.
Where are the mature ladies & guys?

Possibly but it also displays a dispensation to hide the truth - not the type of folk we would want to meet.

Over used and often abused but the saying is true. Age is just a number.
As someone already said it's more about attitude.
The way one looks at and approaches things has a big bearing on how others view you and on the way you smile with what life offers. Our approach changes things immensely and rubs off on others we come in contact with.
Enjoying second half of my life even more than the first half.

I'm 50 ( just), the reason my age is lower on our profile is so I qualify for 'kk' which invariably clashes with the best parties ever, so we needn't have bothered!
I never make any pretence when we meet other peeps ( Apples always introduces me as her considerably older boyfriend in any case)
I don't feel old, but I know where the above poster is coming from with their age cut off.

Thanks for tbe many interesting replies.
I admit I did cheat my age to get around the age filter many people have, but in my profile I do declare my age.
In my 50's and since being seperated I have to say I am having the best sex ever, meeting many more interesting & like minded people & as other have implied not hung up on myself or others size, shape or looks " take me as you find me". I find the mind & mindset the attractive attribute.
Perhaps because the population is bigger the UK Fab scene does appear more welcoming of the "mature fabber" & they are more incline to play with people around their own age. The scene/lifestyle is still developing in Ireland & ad the current under 50's age & continue to play, the age dynamic with change with it.

I really don't understand this lowering age to avoid age filters. At least you are clear about it in your profile.
It's frustrating that 50 is a cut off age for many. Certainly limits me.
But fuck it. It's their decision to have an age limit not mine or yours! Putting in a wrong age limit so you can get around filters is dishonest and disrespectful. Not qualities people find attractive.
You are basically deciding your ego is so big you are entitled to ignore others choices. That you can "convince " them to try you. I wonder how that has worked for you in practise?
Pretending to be ten years younger than you are screams immaturity and lack of confidence.
So good for you changing your age. I think it shows immaturity. Considering the attraction of people to men in their 50s is that they are mature, are you sure it's the right approach.
Maybe try acting your actual age. You will limit your options but might gain respect. In reality there are plenty of folk who are attracted to older people. Maybe try them? |

I don't find been over 60 any problem in meeting friends and having fun.
A lot of younger ladies and couples like the attention that an older lover gives.
