Bad Grammar on here

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

Just to say, a lot of the grammar on here is bad, for example, twice today, I've been called

'What a asshole'

It should be 'what an asshole ',

There's no excuse for it, even predictive text picks it up

I do agree... but I’m a touch dyslexic so I can’t say anything bad!

However... I think increased heart rate and predictive text are to blame

Technically speaking grammar can't be bad but can be incorrect

Not a grammatical mistake, merely a spelling error

Grinds my gears! The amount of people I've pulled up on it in work is mad. Basic education folks, primary school and finessed in secondary. When I see it on Fab though, I understand predictive text is often the culprit, so I'm learning through here to live with it, or at least not get frustrated (ahem!)

An asshole. Two vowels should not meet at the end of a word and the start of the next word, I think.

Generally, yes, but it depends on the pronunciation of the vowel. Uniform, for instance.
