I hear you brother. Lots of fresh air and have two mobiles. One for work and one private. On a day off. Leave work phone at home.

No option for two phones I’m afraid....the book stops with me so I’d rather be available. My Friday starts tonight about 1am

Its not just service industry that work long hours.Self employed, farmers etc...key is to find a work life balance. The two phones is a great idea but discipline is key also to switch off fully when you can.I usually feel guilty switching off but think eveeyone needs to learn how to separate work and downtime...do exercise,do a hobby,go out for a lunch..whatever it takes to clear the head and also get some giod sleep. Now if only i could implement those myself all the time.

Ah my sympathys to you as someone who was involved in the industry 28 yrs it's hard going but as I worked my way up I've earned Sunday's off .. one thing I will say to you is we are all replaceable don't kill yourself over a job that you would be replaced in 5 mins take your days off as they are badly needed grab a break when it's quiet cause you don't know when your next one will be

Work hard and what I have is my own, so I’ve worked this hard to have my own. The plan is to work my ass off for another 4 years and then either sell and get a real job or take on a manager and don’t kill myself as much

Well I’d actullay include farming in the service industry because one services the other in terms of product etc....but I hear you. I generally work a 80 week, year by year it gets harder. Work life balance is key really and I do live good when I take time off and enjoy it. I have super holidays etc. roll on tonight

Oh of course there can be but in alot of cases the hard work rewards your superiors more often than not, an older colleague of mine once responded to a managers thank you on the great job he done, he said,"where can I spend thanks in tescos,"
