Winks are the good or bad when making first contact??

good for us, if a couple wink then we have a look at profile and if we like then wink back with a wee message

we're the same, and like to wink as first contact, especially with new members, during that wee period when they've just joined and sound good on paper, but have no pics up or anything yet. great way to say we may be interested but aren't promising too much

I hate when we get winks and a friend request at the same time without even a message, don't mind the wink but don't like the friend request without some sort of chatting first.

Ah I think winks can be a "non-pushy" way of just sayin "hi ... I might be interested" .... if you are

harmless and easy to ignore if u want to

well we use them as a way of saying,,"we know you had a look so we did too" lol,and also a a first point of contact

I think winks are a good way to say 'Hi I've viewed your profile and you sound nice..'......but do agree that a friends invite with or without a wink or chat is just to be deleted!
