I received a message from a guy this morning being rude and abusive, the next message that came was saying that he would love to meet me and that his initial message was a way of trying to get my attention.

Do many guys use this method as a way of trying to chat to girls on here?

This is not the first time it has happened to me. I just don’t understand why they would think that someone would meet them after them calling them names.

Surely it would lead to them being added to people’s block list instead of their hotlist

Probably a lack of patience, immaturity and a wealth of a sense of entitlement. Probably not a character worthy of a meet by the sounds of it

Being polite, genuine doesn't cost much

I just don’t understand the reasoning behind it, it reminds me of kids in the playground and the boys being mean to the girls they like

I love the 'Oh god, I'd love to meet you, I'd drive all night, I love your pictures, you look amazing' and then when you politely decline for whatever reason they start calling you a slut and a slag and all the usual shite lol then they pop up with the same bullshit first message a week later if you don't block!

I would never be rude to anyone . No point it gets you nowhere . My thinking it's always nice to be nice . Could not be any other way .

But if the boys pulled your hair in the playground you'd get pissed off, these days you may like it

There's a reason we're not in the playground anymore, most of us grew up.

Do girls or guys really believe " treat em mean to keep em keen" ... to be honest it makes no sense to me .. sending a message is akin to the telephone cold call, for every 10 messages sent there msy be 1 reply & for every 10 replies there may be a coffee meet ... we are trying to sell ourselves ... why would we expect to have any more luck than a telephone sales person...but by being mean why would you have any success
