So.....I bumped into an old flame, and she was saying her husband was away on a stag and I happened to be home for a few days....she jokingly said bring a bottle of wine....
So I did...and she answered the door just out of the bath not expecting to see me....the rest is history....I left 6 hours later!!

Probably because you have some issues around being shy or nervous with new people.
Knowing her helped you be relaxed, and knowing it would be strings free helped you enjoy it.
Although I dunno, cause I have never been with an ex. I think sex for the first time with someone is the best. Unless they are a slut making the rounds, in which case it feels about the same as having a wank. |

Yeah I bumped into an ex ... started texting ... we both kinda said to be friends with benefits... he chickened out in last minute... said he couldn't do it as he didn't want to put both of us through pain again or what if he changed his mind down the road he didn't want the benefits ...

Sorry to go against the general responses above but I've had sex with a few ex's in the past and most were great.
There's the knowing exactly what turns her on, the careless frivolity, the swagger of being ready to do things with her you've learned that she may be new to and the stupid, male attitude of Yeah am here again reminding her of what she's missing
Some I've walked away from questioning myself and admonishing myself for taking the easy fuck but most have been a lot of fun.

I can completely empathize with this. My ex and I split because we wanted different things out of life in general so it was amicable, but because we had such an amazing sex life we fell into bed together A LOT after we split.
It always seemed hotter, more elicit, almost forbidden and that just added to the excitement.
