I found my old phone today and went back into old pics of a previous relationship. I definitely had a bit of a morose feeling about what could've been and every picture triggered a great memory. When I read our old messages though, it was a different story and I remembered that not everything was perfect at the time between us.
Do we sometimes romanticise old relationships? Remember the good and blot out the bad?

Past relationships are the best indicators of future ones unless we make the honest effort to analyse them and learn what was, and where we went wrong.
Nice that you do have more fond than negative memories of that relationship though OP. Sounds like it wasn't meant to last but great not to sense resentment in your post. |
