Do you feel like you fit in in life or that you make alot of effort to fit in? I feel like humans are simple in their behaviours and that I don't fit in but they would probably say the same as me. I've loads of friends but still feels like I'm saying "why are they doing that?", "why do they like this?" all the time. Like when it's hot and people suddenly want to drink all day. In work one lad asked me if I wanted to sneak off for pints at lunch and I was like.. No why would I do that? And he said cause its pure sunny out. Is that not weird or am I weird? Ha |

I don't think it's weird at all. Absolutely nothing wrong with knowing your own mind and staying true to how you feel. The older I get the more of an individual I've become. There are enough sheep in the world without being 1 for the sake of fitting in. In reality you just maybe maturing faster than your circle of friends. |

Knowing your own mind on fab is unpopular apparently. It can be seen by the masses as judgemental if one goes against the flow. Too many just float with the current, hoping it'll take them where they want to go. It's mostly back down stream unless they get stuck someplace. A few will head towards the source. |

Being able to think for oneself is a strength and a rare thing, too many people simply follow the crowd or act on instinct with no thought for the consequences of their actions for themselves and others. |

You are not weird OP, just different from most unfortunately in that you are very aware and think more than you bleat. You will find that when you openly question a non-aware person you will be viewed with contempt, because you are holding up a mirror to a regular sheep that thinks their a unique eagle...and you could be labeled the wolf amongst the flock.
My advise is don't worry about the sheep at work or among your friends. Keep questioning yourself and you will keep growing into a more and more enlightened individual who's not going to be stressed about fitting into flocks and will probably have a handful of other deep thinking friends one day....and you'll find very little interest in the mostly manufactured dramas of the increasingly woolly masses. |

Who set the boundaries to what is considered normal or weird ? Something being a common occurance doesn't make something normal. Society is always changing and even within different countries ans different cultures societal norms are different.
Once you are living by your own standards with your own identity regardless of what hypothetical box that fits in then you are doing well .
Many folks suppress any sense of identity by consigning their worldview and behaviours to third party authority figures.

I don't feel like I fit in. Nor do I give a fuck. I just go along happy and not trying to fit a type or mold. Sometimes when you look around you, would you want to fit in anyway |

It’s human to be unique might sound all religious but your not supposed to be the same and in a different circle of friends you might find the lad who wanted a drink was the odd one be yourself and if that’s weird be weird |

Not fitting in means that you've a mind of your own and that's always a good thing . No one gets to put a key in your back and turn it as you march to your own drum beat...

Seriously why would you like to fit in . I never understood that. Individuality is what sets you aside from the crowds of blind sheep following each other one by one of the edge off a cliff. I believe you should embrace and indulge your individual self to really understand and be yourself. Otherwise you just become just another puppet on a string. I feel as I get older (42) the more I feel like fuck it I am who I am so fuck the crowd!!!!!! |
