BC Canada absolutely has to have some of the most scenic places on earth. People speak English, food is much the same as home but has the lifestyle costs of Ireland. |

I’d base myself out of Monaco and live on a yacht with my own crew, chef and skipper. Go where ever the tide takes me basically.....a need a few scantily clad women to make the whole fantasy look good in my head though..... |

"La belle France.I love the language, the lifestyle, the food, the weather. It's a sexy country. "
We lived there for 6 years and it was a sexy country.. Now ruined by racism and people with absolutely no patience... Southeast of the emerald Isle any day especially in the sun |

France is a shithole. I lived there and when I fell on hard times due to being ripped off and not paid for over 2 months work they told me there were two options, they could give me a sleeping bag when i get thrown out of my apartment, or I can fuck off back to Ireland.
I'm sure its lovely if you go with a bit of money and a bit of security behind you, but to start a life? You will end up in one of their huge ghettos. Where the gangs carry ak-47s.
Where a rat will get thrown in the open window of your car into your lap on a hot day so you have to get out, so they can mug you and steal your car.
When they have to make an arrest you see the gendarmerie (military police) line up for a mile with attack dogs, machine guns, full body armour. The normal police can't do it. Literally bus after bus of armed soliders.
When they riot, they have to use civil war protocols.
They love football, sure. But they have some of the biggest ultra groups in mainland europe. Your convoy can be shot at while going to a match. Where the police can shoot you dead in the street on camera and just say "he was an ultra" and get away with it.
The only people I know of who went to france and loved it, didn't really start a new life from the ground up. They just went over with money and continued to live how they do here, but spoke french and drank wine with meals instead of in the pubs.

I've been to Paris and there are problems with immigrant gangs and sons of immigrant families. What I saw mostly were African groups causing problems. That's not me being racist thats what I saw for myself. I'm talking about Paris though. I haven't been to any other part. I assume there's place around the size of limerick there will a better lifestyle than here. |

No the places the size of limerick are not much better. However the gangs you need to worry about are algerian not african.
Algeria was fucked over by France. To make ammends France allowed them to apply for visas, and gave everyone that came a job.
Loads arrived in France and they began working to build motorways and other projects. Worked hard too.
The work dried up and France put them on social welfare in cheap housing. There are now huge ghettos full of the next generation who feel their parents were conned into coming over, and there is nothing there for them, no future.
I was accepted in a ghetto. I was pretty much the only white person that could freely walk around the place. I thought they were insanely nice people. They would scream when they seen me and run over to say hi. They would make me laugh. But the reality was, I was drinking in a club with pitbulls and dobermen trained to attack held by bouncers at the door. That a few of my friends had been in jail for murder...
But I was friends with the football hooligans too, and they were mostly white, and just as lawless at times, but also lovely people I thought. |

Excuse me??
I'm a native French speaker and an immigrant and I can tell you that it's not been a bowl of fucking cherries here in 'the land of 1000 welcomes' for foreigners either.
Take your xenophobia somewhere else, please. I'd move to France in a heartbeat - better health care, better food & wine, better weather, sexy people and a rich tapestry of culture spanning thousands of years. |

Sheriff st. Any street in whatever city can be as bad, it's a real Dublin working class area, lovely people around the area I'm a Southsider & worked in the area years ago with the council, when it had a real bad name but I never had any problems, a few bad apples spoil it for many. |

Think of your poor crew. With you being a live a borad owner, they'd have to work every single day 24/7. As much as I am sure you are an absolute joy to be around, they'd run that yacht like a 5 star hotel standard or even higher. They'd never be able to fully switch off or relax. Yacht crews work very hard, but they definitly don't want you around to see them play harder
Just give them 2 months on and 2 off rotation with a 13th month bonus if they stay a year and flights home and back again to where ever the boat is.

Sounds like I need you on my payroll.....your the HR manager.....normally crew do a month on and month off, but that’s at sea full time. The 13th month bonus would be fantastic too.....I have a friend that is a skipper for abromavich in Monaco so we have ourselves sorted for a skipper.
No need to pack a bikini hunbon....Keep ah naturale in France. |
