"Any league of Ireland fans on here keeping an eye on the Saudi take over of Galway. "
As long as it doesn't turn into a farce like the Athlone fiasco then I'll be happy, Galway is the best away trip bar none, hopefully they get back up soon enough |

From what I've heard there are a lot of conditions being put in place to keep it from turning into another Athlone. |

"Id be all for it but i cant see much changing. Galway is a gaa stronghold with a bit of rugby, soccer just isn't that big here. "
If the money is there players will come. Anytime Galway United did well the crowds would almost double. But you are right about other sports having big following at the moment. |

"Galway Utd Co Op members voting tonight. Heard last night that vote expected to pass easily.
"
Almost 40 new members in the last week signed up to co op.
I do hope it goes through. |

They definitely need something like this or they'll stay in the limbo they're in for years. A cash injection should attract some talent and get the crowds up. Gaa notwithstanding the attendance has been shocking for a decent sized city. |

I agree. Hopefully local talent can be kept, just look at the Galway players who have won titles for other clubs over the last few years. |
