"Anyone else care to add a pointless post to this pointless thread????"

I think you're being very harsh. The worst part of the OPs message is where he calls the lady a "xxxx" at the end of the message.

I'd be very surprised if she meets up with him after that outburst.

"How do you cook your pork "

Simple Really, just gave it a dry marinade of garlic, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Fried lightly on all sides and put it in the pressure cooker ( amazing invention) for 25 mins. Along with a few spuds. Cut up veg into large chunks, season with salt and pepper, drizzle with olive oil and put in the oven for 15 mins or so delish

I'm laying on my bed. Just thought I should let everyone know. Also, I like marshmallows, smores to be more precise, and even better with cinnamon sprinkled on.

Joking aside, the ops thread may be pointless but it's also harmless. Nice to see someone on here happy and excited at an impending meet rather than the usual threads of people complaining they can't get a meet.

I hope it goes well for you OP.

I left Facebook because I was sick of seeing posts like this. You do know you can keep things to yourself in this world and no need for attention with everything that goes on in your life.

This thread proves, without doubt, that it is possible to get embarrassed on someone else's behalf.

Don't think jealousy played a part here to be honest OP.its a meeting place, people meet. If everyone on here created a thread for all their meets it would be crazy. That's all. With regard to the topic, it really is a non topic. Nothing to discuss, nothing to create interaction, no questions. just a statement. Any advice? How do you guys prepare for a new meet? May have made it more interesting. As it stands, as many people were interested in my pork dinner tonight which was lovely by the way. Just saying.

All the best with your meet. Not looking to spoil anything

Yet I've seen several single females over the years publish similarly gushy threads which have gotten plenty of support along with the sycophantic "wish it was me you were meeting" type comment. Personally I'm happy for the OP and anyone else (of any gender) who is looking forward and truly appreciating the opportunities life has presented them. Glad you enjoyed your pork... but will you look back fondly on it in your dotage?

Absolutely will be telling the grandkids about It, was some damn good pork.

For the record I personally would be just as unexcited by a female posting a similar thread

Yeah, a status update would have sufficed but hey, check everyone that commented, myself included.

Personally, I'd just use Status update but hey, that's just me.

Oh and for the curious, pork North Carolina style, with Vinegar Sauce, from the BBQ Bible. Until you try it, you don't know what pork can taste like
