Spend a few minutes in the lounge and theres clearly a Geek presence from the UK, but who here would class themselves as a Geek/Nerd? Do you have a hidden love of comics or fantasy books? Do you enjoy watching Anime? (Not to be confused with Hentai!) An extensive gaming backround perhaps? Spill the beans, dont be shy

Myself, im a proper Marvel Fanboy

Music and music tech, music documentaries, and biographies.

It's not a guilty pleasure. Music geek and proud.

Fair play, the technical side to music goes well over my head. Have friends that are crazy talented musicians but singing badly is the extent of my musical talent

They filmed a pilot about ten years ago. It had Richard Ayoade and Joel McHale (community) as the Roy character. It was identical to the UK pilot. It wasn't picked up, thankfully.

Yeah was just having a read, as of Dec 2017 they are hoping for a remake, which is their third attempt at sending it to the U.S. According to Linehan, so long as nobody expects the same show was the UK version, everyone will be happy

I agree. American remakes can be alright as long as they do their own thing, like the Office and not the Inbetweeners.

That said, the UK are guilty of terrible remakes as well. Look at the pilot of the English version of That 70s Show.

I started with the 2000ad comic and star Trek. And just brought the book A Sound of Thunder just because someone on a TV show said it was good lol
