Anyone else find people lie about themselves on profiles .. saying they can accommodate when can’t , saying they don’t smoke when they do, saying they don’t drink when they do or other way round ....full swop when they only do soft swop ...list goes on ....drives me insane ...

I can understand people not saying their real
Names on here until you are face to face . That’s understandable in case it’s someone you know but when you meet them etc I would always give our names and even with some on here we do too if they live across the water or

You ... age by a few years ok but one couple we met said they were about 15 yrs older than their profile and he was athletic... he was ample not athletic ....I’m average at a size 12... I would not consider myself slim so I am what I am . No bull

I understand the accommodation thing, some people can accommodate for singles but not couples or they can only accommodate when housemates etc.. are away.
Also never seen a profile say they drink when they don't. I wouldn't let any of this bother me, it's the internet, you can say what you want here

Lying on a profile is selfish. Profiles are taken at face value and unfortunately many don't hold their value. I have previously encountered profiles to be embellished before. This is why verifications should be to the point and not all this adouring shite. For me, a verification is a way of verifying the profile as genuine. Not an opportunity to suck up to the other user. I'd say many veri's are a little exaggerated. As our many profiles. I've had socials that have not concerted into meets because the woman has lied or post pics that are from 20 years ago. Athletic? No, far fucking from it! What annoys me the most, is the wasting of my time. I consider my time precious. I can't get that back. For that, those people can go fuck themselves. Life is short. Time is precious. Too precious to waste on selfish lying cunts. |

I think a lot of the Profile questions are not binary/ yes or no
Eg
Yes I can accom (but only if i have met the person previously)
Is yes correct or should it be No
Eg
No I dont smoke (but I like the odd joint lol)
Is No correct or dhould it be Yes
Yes there are no doubt profile owners who blatantly lie on their profiles, but there are many answer the question based on what they believe is correct

I agree straycats. You spend time and effort speaking to someone and you meet them and they look absolutely nothing like their pics.

Got chatting to a couple on there. Talked on the phone sent pics, arranged a meet. All good. Booked a hotel, travelled down to Dublin, checked in. All good. Arranged to meet at a certain bar for a few drinks first. All good. Got to the bar. And there was a different couple sitting where they said they were. Went outside and text them and said I can't see you. Our favorite is the bi men who are straight on profile but are more bi than ones who are openly bi! Just so they can meet women/ couples who don’t like bi men. Always best to be open about oneself and have accurate pictures and descriptions. We all have busy lives and spare time is precious. For me I always cam chat and more as it helps eliminate any nasty surprises for all sides.

the age thing didnt bother me to much when 1/2 yrs were shaved off but now it grinds my gears they shave like 10 yrs off and pics in their 30s ughh how would they feel if i said i was 30 and skinny just as pissed off im sure

Ah sweet Jesus, don't get me started. The age lie and old pics game drives me bonkers as well as the couple's profile who think you want to play blind date with them as not a pic of him in sight and 47 of herself up! If his wife won't even put up his pic's...how bad is it!  |

"I believe our profile is as honest as you can get. I just don't understand why there is a need to lie and lead people to believe you are something you are not.
Fake pictures on your profile that are most definitely not of you is our biggest pet hate. We have had experience of this, do they honesty think things will move forward to play???

I agree, a well thought out profile and some lucky selfies, I find more appealling.. Also verifications especially if there from mutual friends, helps us sieve out the time wasters and wanna be's...
No point in telling lies or pretending ur bi when ur not...

Ah its a pisser alright, usually not that hard to work out the ones that are full of it though, we as straight up as we can be with ours, admitidly the face pic we send privately is a couple of yrs old (its hard to get mr to have his pic taken) but we look pretty much the same and we facecam 90% of the time we're in chat if folks need to see what we look like the day |
