I found a long list of questions online this morning and loved them, thought I'd share a few.
1. What is your favourite book or series of books?
2. Where is the most interesting place you've ever been?
3. What small gesture from a stranger made the biggest impact on you?
4. What risks are worth taking?
5. What keeps you up at night? |

1. A song of ice and fire
2. Barcelona, fascinating blend of European and North African culture with lots to see
3. A city gent giving me his (clean) hanky when I had a nosebleed on the Tube in London, usually strangers are ignored no matter what's happening!
4. Opening your heart and letting down your barriers to love
5. Night sweats - my conscience is clear |

Great answers, I just realised I should answer myself
1. Pillars of the Earth
2. Hanoi, fascinating to see a modern city with a culture not that heavily influenced by the West
3. I think my favourite interaction with a stranger was one day I passed a guy wearing the same psychedelic hoody as me, we smiled at each other, he said, "hoody bro", he high fived me and we kept walking past each other without breaking stride. It still makes me smile.
4. Having an open mind about people when you meet them, people surprise you with kindness and generosity more often than not.
5. Just some occasional insomnia and my own perversions

Some good ones to start off with guys, I'm loving this thread
1. The Harry Potter books
2. Speed boating trip around the islands of Thailand sitting on a deck chair in the shade with the sun coming through between the branches looking out over the calm crystal water and other islands, so peaceful
3. Standing at a bus stop just at the roundabout next to Woodies in Swords on a cold March day keeping my arms moving and doing little jumps to keep warm. When suddenly a car pulls up at the bus stop, throws down the window and says, "I'm heading to Balbriggan, I can give you a lift"
I said "Aw no I'm heading to Drogheda"
He said "Fuck you Drogheda scum!!" and sped off.....ah no, only joking, haha
He apologised for not going my and sped off while I was in the middle of thanking him.
My heart melted and made me so proud to be in a country where you have people like that, he must do it often unless he has the reflexes of Lewis Hamilton cause the Bus stop is pretty much right right next to the roundabout which wouldn't give much time for noticing a cold person at the bus stop, Legend!!
4. Braving the road less travelled, you can find hidden gems anywhere you go
5. My snoring, probably why I'm still sinlge! Haha |

1. Love the Charlie Parker series of John Connolly books.
2. Most interesting place I've ever been is inside someone else's head.
3. A lady once went a good bit out of her way on her way to work, to bring me to my destination when I got lost.
4. Risks worth taking....I've had my heart broken, but I'd risk it again for the right person. Anything that makes you feel alive and free and you has to be worth the risk.
5. My dogs usually, and sometimes my kids. |

1. What is your favourite book or series of books?
I must admit I loved the Harry Potter series. Got addicted
2. Where is the most interesting place you've ever been?
I went to Rome for first time 18 months ago and loved it. The ancient Roman ruins were just amazing. What we humans could do that long ago. The forum and senate were amazing
3. What small gesture from a stranger made the biggest impact on you?
Going thru a really busy stansted security few weeks ago, as I walked thru the scanner the guard said ‘nice beard bro’. Still laugh at that.
4. What risks are worth taking?
I have opened my heart and got it crushed but I’d gladly do it again.
5. What keeps you up at night?
I sometimes worry I missed my chance at finding the right person. Been a long time since I had a connection with someone and I miss it. Guess loneliness keeps me up |
