God I can't replicate this man's comment enough,
travelled all the way out to athlone about a 5 weeks ago. Went to the hotel got myself something to eat n had a drink n not even a response from the woman till the next evening saying she was still there and asking if I wanted to come over. Well the msg she got off me wasn't very nice. I was there 2 hours cause I needed to sober up to drive home. Gonna have to be for something special for me to go that far or furthure again.  |

I know that your date having verifications is no gaurentee of showing up, but if you both have a mutual Fab friend the chances of a meet going smoothly increases threefold (my experience anyway...) 
What these no-show merchants fail to recognise is that your reputation as a complete plank or a reliable fun Fabber gets around very, very quickly in the Irish swinging community. Also these Timewasters quitting and then "re-incarnating" on Fab as someone else usually gets found out too...
Op, comfort yourself with the fact that they were probably shite in bed anyway and keep fabbing

One of the main reasons we work meets and plan meets around us or our nite / afternoons out.....if they turn out to be no shows it won't really effect Mrs snickers and I as we just carry on and enjoy our nite out or afternoon out togheter as a couple.... |

I had a guy message me 5 mins before meeting me saying he was looking forward to seeing me. It was just a coffee meet. I was actually standing outside his office waiting for him. After a few mins I knew he wasn’t coming out. Got a message after half an hour saying he couldn’t go through with meeting me and lost his nerve. Doesn’t do the confidence any good. Did he/didn’t he see me and change his mind???

We can "kind of" understand the cold feet no, I got scared no shows, even if we really enjoy the pre meet nerves, we know not everyone enjoys them, but just let us know that you are having second thoughts in advance, before we get ready, get in the car and travel to the meet. There is no shame in it.
But the premeditated no shows, who arrange meets knowing full well they have no intention of ever turning up, absolutely makes our blood boil. We can't for the life of us understand what they actually get out of it.  |

I didn’t turn up to a meet with a supposed couple once, it was all about him and his Bi-tendencies and not so much as a Picture or anything about the better half. I cancelled on the morning of the meet as I had had enough. Maybe they were genuine and maybe not, but I got a lot of abuse about it. I explained explicitly my reasons and he still didn’t prove me wrong.
Fellas on this site get a bad rep, yeah there is a lot of thick’s out there, but ladies, and couples.....there is some very genuine nice fellas here that is up for the kink and the fun as much as ye are. This is my second time back on Fab after deleting old profile and I had a lot of verifications but I’m finding it hard to get verified and meet people on new profile.
Maybe Fab needs to evolve and include live chat or some other verification methods which can help the genuine people on here. |

I still haven't met anyone yet from fab.I was talking too a man who wanted to organise one on another site for his wife.I chatted with him for awhile then his wife singed up and started chatting too me after getting the go ahead from her husband.....yes you guessed in the end it was a man who had two profiles one male one female.I think he was just lonely to be honest and needed too talk.What can ya do eh. |

I always turn up...assume nothing until you are looking in their eyes ... and even then assume nothing ... the conversation may flow & there may be great craic over coffee but have you or they got the X factor ... as for dutch courage ... if they have had a few they are not for me ...
But there are no shows on Tinder & Plenty of Fish ... goes with the territory ... but I remain positive & keep looking |

After the couple cancelled, we rang friends and arranged to go for a few pints. Then the guy from the couple rang and said they were available after all. I explained we made alternative plans and he goes mental, accusing us of being timewasters. After they had cancelled ! |

Not read through the post yet... but I'd say many will have a single guy bash and say it's probably a guy.
Truth probably is there's just as many women do no shows. I've had a few and some very well verified too. It's not nice especially when their shame means they block you without facing the reality of what they have just done. |

Good point. What I find is that some of the new Fabbers come onto the forums here cribbing about "nobody will meet me" "can't get a veri" "place is really cliquey" etc Well, with the amount of no-shows and timewasters, why would a legit swinger take the time to go and meet new people here???
So maybe a few solutions:
- If the IP addresses were blocked of people who continually waste other people's time with no-shows, we could easily out most of the time wasters.
- Timewasters with "verifications" from other fake profiles (set up by the same person) are coming back again and again and setting up brand new profiles repeating the same all nonsense. Admin noting and blocking these IP addresses could really curtail this
- If someone on Fab is verified by 20 people + as being "reliable" "punctional" and "legitimate" they should get a star or Fab award
Eventually as things evolve, time wasters will be ed out more from Fab with the opportunity of more fun for the rest of us. Well that's the dream anyway  |

We were messed around by a well verified woman 'on holiday' from the UK a while back. All excited, about to leave the house annnd replies just stopped. Only after did we look into it and her page said she was 300+ miles away. Cross the pond pic collector 
Luckily another couple came to ours so the night wasnt a complete bust |
