I see on Amazon that you can now get ones that you can fill with whatever coffee you like and they're reusable. Has to be better for the environment and you get to choose the coffee 
PS all my coffee grounds are recycled in composter or for marinading meat before smoking |

Ah I only do the coffee, bourbon and spice marinaded brisket smoking in the good weather, so the time is dependent on the Irish climate |

Yes the Nespresso shops take the pods back for recycling. They give out bags when you buy pods so you can return your old ones when you order your next lot. |
