"After discussing this over a coffee this morning, it's seems to be the car of choice between a lot of guys on fab haha. Hands up if you own one!!"
It's the only part of VWE that holds true...

Best cars on the road
Ahhhhh nope "
What would you say is the best?
I had over 60 cars and 12 of them were bmw. Never owned a French car but other than that of had most if the common makes and the bmw are the best..... in my humble opinion |

"Had 3..bomb proof cars
Pretty sure they are not literally bomb proof
Correct, it's the Polo that's bomb proof...
Look up the ad on youtube "
I believe there's an old video of some Russians putting a monster of an engine in the back of a Lupo... amazing that it stays on the ground! |

An owner but the old vw emissions chip is threatening to blow apart the bomb proof statement . Can feel like the cars about to take off sometimes when you stop and the engine goes mental (I'm not paying their fees to fix their mistakes) |

This isnt easy for me to talk about . In 2003 I bought a new black GTI. She was beautiful, Alicia was her name after Alicia silverstone, big fan back in the day.
Anyway on moving to a different job with a lot more driving I sold the GTI to a local guy and the car is still going strong. To be honest its not easy seeing him driving her through the town with his hand on her stainless steel globe giving her what for while she roars in pleasure, it hard to listen to. She used to roar like tgat for me when I feathered her throttle.
I've seen guys with ex girlfriend's of mine and not batted an eyelid but this hurts my heart. Oh Alicia how I miss you so .
I should probably seek counselling |

Owner here.
Though it's not drive able at present but that's allowed as It's a 1982 gti undergoing a heart transplant.
I've owned a few ventos over the years (saloon golf) and also had an Octavia vrs (same car as the golf but better in every way). I'm a VW fanboy though. Especially the older stuff. |

Dark side performance in the uk (i think) does some scary things with diesel VAG cars. |

"Owner of a golf right here. I’ll tell you Saturday how good it is when I do my NCT! "
Passed with not even an advisory. Best purchase I’ve made. Brought it in from uk in 2014 and 3 NCT’s passed first time. |

Historic cars going to be thing of the past...when modules decide to give up without updates.. Warning to peeps driving French 10yr plus cars

Hope you have good AA or RAC cover for when your Range Rover breaks down. Had a brand new Range Rover sport and it was never out of the garage getting warranty work done. Looks and drives great, but the most unreliable car I have owned. Stick to your BMW. |
