Veris- would you expect one?

So another post about veris!
If a potential meet told you they were not going to verify you and did not want you to verify them, would it make a difference? Would you still go ahead with the meet or would you pull out based on the lack of veri? |

I donr meet alot so if I arrange a meet it because we have chatted, gotten to know each other a bit and obviously have an attraction. So at that point no a verification would make no difference to me |

I would meet of course and have done it before I never meet for a veri. I meet for intense sexually experience with someone I am attracted too so veris mean nothing after you get one at the start. |

I can give or take a veri. Wouldnt bother me. Nice to get ones from people you really enjoyed their company but not essential. I hate and can be very off putting when people bug you for a veri though which has happened to me before  |

Can you imagine if veris were compulsory..and you had to tell it like it was...
Example.
Jaysus he was an insufferable bollix but I got a good 5 mins out of him.
The hottest part of it was the coffee.
Twas like throwing a sausage up O'Connell st.
I had to run away.
They could have done with a wash.
He went watching the match so myself and the missus had an awkward fumble in the kitchen.
The little prick (literally) fell asleep and the only thing he ate out was the fridge.

Nope... generally speaking if someone takes the time to write me one, I'll write one back. I'm verified... I'm real... more verifications won't make me more real.
I have, however, stopped re-verifying people who come back on new profiles. I get people I met once for coffee, or spoke to briefly at an event 2-3 years ago asking if I can reverify them... and tbh if I only met them once or spoke to them briefly, it probably wasn't terribly memorable. |

I'm not fixed on veris but it depends entirely on the reason. If they want to meet me but don't want anyone to know that I've met them for whatever peculiar reasons and ominous repercussions, it would actually put me off. |

That's what I was getting at, if someone specifically said before a meet, I'm not verifying you and I dont want you to verify me, without giving a reason, would you think differently? |

Well it's about having a bit of backbone and being able to stand to the peeps you meet. If I'm good enough for sex I should be good enough for a veri. Unless they've a damn good reason. |

I've probably met more people who didn't do veris either way. Funny enough, they probably would not have met me if I wasn't already verified.
They were more important in the beginning to get established but now they are just the icing on the cake.
Having said that it's always lovely to receive a nice verification. |

If I've gotten to the point where I'm meeting someone for fun, not a coffee/social/m&g, the last thing on my mind is the verification.
At that point, I'm meeting them for them and nothing else. What's written afterwards is not a concern, though I guess it could turn out to be. Though I don't have to show it on my profile but can perhaps use it to change something about my next meet.
Obviously I would prefer if that was discussed between us and improved upon in a repeat meet but that's kinda up to the other person to determine.
So, no, versus aren't important for serious meets, in my opinion. |

Oh it's happened to many, I'm sure but, when have you ever seen a bad Veri? People aren't going to publish bad veris, so that's why some people contact others that have met folks, asking them about the experience, before they meet the intended meet. No harm in that. |

Meet verifications hold different value depending on the profile.
They are far more valuable to a single guy.
Single ladies and couples do not nearly depend on them as much because we all know how much traffic ye get. This can be seen in the amount of 'likes' single ladies and couples pictures get.
Plus, meet verification's help a single guy stand out in a vast and competitive crowd. |

I have met a few single ladies who didnt want verifications for certain reasons and some couples...the politics of fab...lol... But no I wouldn't be bothered if I got one or not. |
