The new mailbox (ok its not quite new anymore lol) allows you to see all messages any person has sent you within the past month within 1 conversation thread.
For me its highlighted the amount of guys who simply spam mailboxes with the same copy/paste messages every few days/week in the hope that their scattershot approach will yield results. Some will even have quite long messages which would seem at first glance to be genuinely personal and well thought out... until you scroll down and see they've sent you the identical message 4-8 times in the past month .
Has this affected how you respond to mail? Do you reply? Do you ignore? Do you just block and delete? |

I just tell them that my reply is the same as it was the last time they sent me the same message. I don't have to block them for it because they usually block me |

You've gotta admire that level of persistence in fairness |

You've just pointed out a good strategy for this site to optimize for those putting in the effort of sending real messages.
It's possible for the programmer of the website to tag low effort messages and copy paste shotgun messages as spam.
It exists informally since so many profiles have "if you've read my profile put 'chocolates are delicious' in the subject header. |

Now I can't really judge men here because I'm not an woman getting 20 messages a day but I have in the past sent really thought out messages after reading profiles etc... And they're just deleted. I also found aswell that some women might not be interested in you when you send a text but weeks later they start showing interest. How many new messages and ideas do women expect men to come up with? There's only so many introductory texts you can send. |

I keep getting messages stating yee in them.
I have a single profile not a couples profile
I know some send the same message to a number of profiles but at least get the profiles right |

I can understand the frustration of being ignored when you've taken a genuine interest in someone and crafted a message which is personal to them.
But getting an identical message from the same person over and over, which they've clearly copied to any woman who happens to be online, regardless of preferences, etc., for me anyway, will put me right off that person. I wonder how many women would use the scattergun approach? |
