Let it go grey naturally
Jump to: Newest in thread
When I was younger I dyed my hair cause I wanted too, now as I'm getting older it's a case of having too. Im getting hair done today and can't wait. But my friend was telling me that some ladies are now opting for the natural look and not going for hair dye anymore. Would you go for this or still reach for the dye. |

"I cant imagine myself grey I found with my grey coming through I had to use more conditioner as my hair seemed more dryer well that's what I convinced myself "
The texture of your hair changes as it loses its pigment so it will feel more coarse, that’s normal letme. |

I started greying young but it went fully grey after an operation in my early 30's. I love the diversity of choosing my hair colours and my natural grey isn't the nice tones. My friend has gone for full grey and looks amazing since she did but had to change her make up etc...and can't wear certain colour clothes also but vibrant coloured clothes look brilliant on her. It's a personal choice and a brave one. Ask your stylist about the tones of your grey and see what they think. |

I tried to go grey naturally but it made me look much older. Hairdresser put a lighter base colour in and some warm reds and golds lowlights. All I need do now is top up the roots when they get too bad. I don't mind a bit of grey, but I'm not ready to be fully grey, although I think it suits some people. |

I think a woman has to have great bone structure and skin tone for grey hair to look well.
I have very few greys, only in the last couple of years have they started to appear at the front, have no intention of going fully grey. I am pale-skinned and would look utterly washed out. |

Ugg I've naturally dark hair and it kills me when the grey starts growing out, I hate it !!!
I keep thinking I should just go blonde and it maybe wouldn't be as noticeable :-/ |

Damn, I’m jealous if your grey doesn’t start showing for that long. I’ve to get my colour done once a month |

"Not like the guys will care. So do what you want yourself."
I've only ever done it when I've wanted to. I can't be arsed pleasing anyone but myself where my hair is concerned. |

I didn't mean to offend. Just most of what women do is to please a guy. |

You didn't offend me at all. I'm afraid I've never really been like 'most women', or maybe I should say I've never really been like what most women are perceived to be. |

My problem wasn’t the grey it was the bald, nearly got a hair transplant until I just said fuck it! I’ve slowly learned to embrace it and actually been told by a lot of people I would have known years ago that it suits me! Confidence is key when age starts creeping up! |

Iv had a lot of clients stop colouring in the last year because of the trend for grey hair .. its ok for short but long is a nightmare to grow out .. personally i think unless your glamming up every day ie full make up ..grey hair just ages you |

Unfortunately ladies you can see by the contrast between the dye and the natural colouring how grey a lady really is .
For me personally vibrant hair is attractive regardless colour.
to be plain , grey isn't a turn off, dead looking dry hair kinda is.
Again only my view. |

If you can pull it off I’m totally in love with a woman with natural grey hair possibly to do with the silver fox in me I’m sure you would look beautiful x |

My greys are infiltrating my hairline more rapidly these days and I'm naturally dark so the tiny ones even get noticed - I'll dye them until there's too many of them I think and I plan to go short like Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada in my 50's and I fully intend to silver dye those greys as much as possible or lilac at least. |
