Would love to get some help and advice from other Cds/TVs or females on the art of applying makeup to look fully convincing. Have been trying but just cant master it. Not as easy as it looks All help would be greatly appreciated. X

YouTube tutorials are brilliant, don’t know if you’ve tried any?

To avoid 5 o'clock shadow use a good wet razor to shave against the facial hair to get a really close shave.

Apply a moisture and let skin rest for about 30 minutes or so before trying to put on your primer and foundation.

Just take the time to experiment and slight mistakes can be corrected.

Never rush!

Some great advice. Will be a busy weekend trying out these tips.

Thank you all so far.

Would be great to have someone actually show you step by step and how to apply these tips at each stage.

I did a few makeup lessons and that helped a bit. That being said I am hopeless with makeup!!!

The only way to get better is to practice... as tvs we are only applying it occasionally and like art, to get good takes practice.

There are some amazing youtube clips out there to follow and I believe you have to have good products also.

Best of luck sweetie x

I know your in the North so I can't say for sure but is there anybody doing dressing services? The 2 I know of in dublin offer make up lessons.

Thinking of taking a trip myself.

2 things I've found out are;

Foundation goes on the neck and chest area aswell (or else you look like a floating head)

And lip tar instead of lipstick as it's longer lasting ( 5mins and lipstick is all over my hands/drinks)

My town

A nice face primer down before foundation remember less it best better to add more than to take off. Good brushes for eyeshadow and finish off with setting spray keeps your make up longer

Been practising this morning based in tips and advice from yesterday. Small steps with regards to progress.

Would be great if I could find someone who would be willing to show me each stage in person the art of applying full makeup and of course all costs would be covered.

No such a thing as one single step by step guide.

Each woman uses products in different ways to achieve similar or totally different results.

Greasy, dry, light skin, dark skin etc etc all make a difference.

YouTube really is an amazing source of knowledge.

Whilst you may strive to seek someone you should set a couple of evenings week aside experiment.
