They say that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.. is this true? Have you used this method? Did it work or make you feel guilty? How long did you wait until you resorted to the method?

Broken up with the ex over a year now and still not fully over her. We have a two year old girl together that I only see on weekends now. Driving away on a Sunday evening kills me.Hard when the wedding, house and family plans turn to shit but shur tis only a case of get back up, dust yourself off smile away and go again. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about like.  |

For the record im not askin for advice here lol.. i just heard someone earlier today sayin the best way to get over one man is to get straight under another. Was wonderin of there truth to that. |

I don’t think it necessarily is the best way... I find it’s a very quick fix for a deeper problem.
Yes I’ve tried and tested it a few times.. and you simply forget about the rides you’ve had and go back thinking about your ex as soon as they’ve left.
That’s what I found anyway |

Relationship some people get over really quick which questions how they really felt about the person
Some get satisfaction meeting someone straight away others like to heal before jumping back in .
Everyone is different at handling thing's.

Oscar wilde once said the best way to get over a woman is to turn her into literature. I’m a believer in writing stuff down so you can actually see your thoughts. Might sound sad but it works |

There's a poet called Lang Leav and she has written some very good stuff about lost love. I think it's been a kind of therapy for her to write it out. |

I'd echo some of the sentiments above.
Yes, it takes the edge off and gives you a little self confidence back at the same time, along with an opportunity to discover that all your tricks don't work the same with everyone else and that you will have to put in some effort.
However, you will still pine for the old lover a little and will wonder what you should/could have done differently. That's some self examination that is worthwhile but try not to ponder it too long or too often. Do try to learn from it though. Life is for living, so get out and grab another chance at happiness |

You can get badly hurt after a breakup . Depends how it goes between you the screams and roars and hurtful things . It can take a while to get over a breakup . A good holiday most likely . I would not tel anyone to jump into another relationship . Just relax and chill out . |

Yes Ive used this method ,my analogy is a broken heart is to an open wound ,is each new lover will act as a stich on that open wound until after time and enough stiches the wound itself will be sealed tight and then the inner healing will commence .
