On the ball mate.
You can't put a price on it. Time is so so precious.
All the money and crap that comes with it.
Time costs nothing but at the same time is priceless.
We've all only got so much. To share it with another person or persons is so precious.
Kids especially. They will appreciate it as they get older.

Well in that case, I agree with the time and respect.
I'll add friendship. Being there for people when they need you. I've always prided myself on being there for my friends and loved ones when they needed it, without having to be an integral part of their everyday lives. I get the same back from them. We mightn't talk for weeks on end but, when we do, it's as if we talked that morning. I love that!

The best thing you can give to somebody is your understanding. It's also easily the most important factor in a relationship. If you cannot understand someone, then you can never truly relate nor connect to that person. |

I'll add friendship. Being there for people when they need you. I've always prided myself on being there for my friends and loved ones when they needed it, without having to be an integral part of their everyday lives. I get the same back from them. You can't buy it.

I completely agree with you Pete. Kids here myself and I do my utmost to spend as much time as possible with them, which I get so much out of it isn't true

Time on a broader scale.
More specifically making time for people and not just seeing them when it is convenient.
Beyond that.
Loyalty.
Laughter.
A presence to a friend that leaves them know whilst you may not be able to solve their problems , they will know they will not face them alone.
