C'est moi Boudoir

I do every second Christmas day with my kids since I separated. This year they are going to my ex but I am doing our Christmas the day before and spending Christmas day with Fooey. In the past I have either spent it with friends or extended family which is lovely but I do love to snuggle up peacefully in my own house at the end of the day. Make it special to you op, merry Christmas

Most do rather be alone but for some it overwhelming for first xmas alone and last think need is see rest of family with their kiss or having to answer family questions etc...I was at low point while back and afraid admit...hence post...no one need be alone...even if it just to chat some the pervs on here lol....we all just normal folk in our real lives despite the facade we might put on for others

Avoiding people who have invited you is not good to do. One day they will stop inviting you.

I have spent many celebrations alone, I spend new years alone, have spent a christmas or two alone. I have also spent prolonged periods of time with no contact with any other humans.

Thankfully I like being alone. However I also don't get invited to spend it with anyone either.

My advice, learn to be comfortable alone with yourself and if given the chance spend time with others.

Not so nice to be alone, but as has been said, it's just one day. I think sometimes the expectations are huge and the anti climax can be hard to deal with. Being happy in your own company is good, there are plenty of people who will be alone in a crowd on that day too and that's a really tough one.

I hope everybody has some times of pure and simple joy on Christmas day and in the days that follow.
