Had one done, eventually gave up and admitted after six years that it wasn't going to heal fully. Loved the heightened sensation, hated the regular gunkiness and owwies that were cyclical in nature. |

I had both of mine done when I was about 20. Fun for awhile but very hard to heal fully and I ended up taking them out after college. They literally show through every bra or top unless your bra ia extrmely padded. |

Never had a problem. Like every piercing they need kept clean to avoid funkiness though |

If your sensitive to any types of metal I suggest you ask your piercer to pierce them with bioplast/ ptfe bars, you'll find they heal a lot quicker than a titanium bar piercing will and less chance of infection. It's not to painful a bit like a sharp pinch for a few seconds and its done.I wear bioplast bars myself as I became allergic to all the metal bars so swopped them to bioplast a few years ago, I've never had any problems since. |

I had both mine pierced a month ago. I can't lie it was painful & my boobs were tender for 2 weeks. The only thing I can't stand is the cold atm. No problems with gunk as I let hot water from the shower run over them everyday |

I have both done. I recommend getting both done at the same time so they are even. I had them done before and they were not really balanced.
Regards healing though, they never actually heal. If you take them out they will disappear in about 20 minutes. If you do experience any infection DO NOT take them out. The infection will become trapped under the skin and it is a very unpleasant experience.
Absolutely get them done though, they are the best.
Throw out the loofah though! |

Have both mine done good few years now. They never heal 100%.
Get both done at same time or you will never go back for 2nd.
Sharp pain getting them done but then I used breastfeeding pads from m&s to keep dry & help with cold - that can be painful esp first month.
Friend took hers out as they wouldn't heal enough for her even though she is smaller on top.
They say larger takes longer to heal as more friction and pulling on bars.
Best thing is regular soaks, research who to go to, those pads & internally threaded bars.
Don't keep changing them as you keep hurting hole as you force through bar with screw on outside.
If you leave bar out for few minutes you will have fun trying to get them back in.
Warning any male I have been with has pulled on them & it hurts. Playing is one thing but pulling to check they are real/how much bar can lift.....Other excuses can really set back any chance of healing, don't let any mouth near them for first 4-6 weeks to much bacteria.
It normally takes a year to heal according to Google.
Like the build up you get on ear (dead skin cells), nipple is more - hole is much thicker so there is a lot more & it's quiet a bit of maintenance compared to my other piercings.
Your cycle will effect how they feel a lot.
After several years I'd be 50/50 if I'd do them again & friends who had them done all removed them & wouldn't do it again (they couldn't handle how long it took to heal & amount of maintenance or resist urge to change bars). |
