I remember having a mouse problem in a previous home. They are harmless but annoying.

I remember before catching them, two of them used to run around my room at night playing with each other, keeping me awake. I drew the line though when one of them invaded my munchies drawer the wee bastard.

I made a humane trap using one of those bins that have a swing lid.

I got an empty Pringles tube with no bottom and put peanut butter on the inside of one end.

Then using tape I affixed the tube on the swing lid so that when any mouse walked along the tube to the end with peanut butter the lid would swing and the tube would slant in such a way that the mouse would drop into the bin.

Caught five of the little blighters like that then released them outside.

If they got in once., they will get in as soon as you throw them out.

saw a homemade mouse/rat trap on you tube. bucket put two small holes on each side. get a rooler and insert it. put peanut butter in middle of it. two planks a wood at each side so mouse or rat can climb up, walks out onto roller slips and falls into the bucket filled half with water and drowns

Get yourself to A health food shop and buy some peppermint essential oil. It MUST be essential oil. No flavouring crap.

Put some drops in a spray bottle and add water. Spray in the corner that you heard it in, in fact spray it in all the corners and make the place smell like a Trebor mint.

They'll take off like a bat out of hell. They hate peppermint.

Meanwhile order those sound things so you don't get them back.

Hope that helps!

They love peanut butter if your setting traps, you can get humane traps that don’t kill them if that’s what your worried about, or the sonic plugs

Nope. The five of them were in the trap together when I found them then released them.

6 or so drops to half pint of water. It doesn't really matter, as long as it stinks. It raises my heartbeat if it's too pungent, so it does the same for the mice I think. I remember squirting one while it sprinted and it collapsed and died on me.

Another tip would be is to plant mint outside the buildings that they infest, but mint spreads like nobody's business. Stick to the spray or put mint plant pots in the building itself.

Great advice

We've finally finished trapping what's in our house, 15 mice later. The buggers were so small they were licking the nutella off the traps without setting them off.

We went around the house blocking up small holes around pipes etc and anything visible around the roof with the expanding foam. The little buggers were climbing in a bathroom window!!!

Oh brilliant, - mint loves growing around here & more mint = less ing ") ....... although I haven't a clue how they're getting in, - possibly down from the roof.

"Mint pot plants.never heard that one.u put them inside or outside"

Outside to prevent them from coming in. However, most gardeners would shudder at the idea because mint spreads like wildfire.

People without gardens put plant pots in their houses. It has the same effect.
