So Donald is pushing for Roy Moore to get elected in Alabama despite all the allegations of abuse of minors. He "believes" Moore who has also compared gay sex to sex with animals. Just when you think he can't go any lower he turns into a moral limbo artist.

mmmm, whose the greater threat to society, a possible paedophile or a liberal ? I thought he may stay silent on the issue for fear of shining a light on the numerous allegations made against himself.

He just wants the tax reform in and knows "if" Moore does get elected then he will be loyal to the Trump agenda going forward.
There is no 3d chess with Trump. He is exceptionally obvious in what he is doing.
Baffling to see people defend Moore on religious grounds etc.

"Trump talk bores the arse off me. There are crazy leaders in lots of countries.
Why does everyone devote so much mental energy to him? "
You are right. There are plenty of crazy leaders in other countries.
In western society where there are parallels and this cretin is the leader of the Free World it is through the action of the ignorant and the passive nature of those who know better can have an easier ascent to the top.
Education does not happen in silence. |

"Same old chip on your shoulder.
Trump this ,Trump that , is that thong niggling you ?
By the way the American economy is rocking !!"
He jumped on the Obama bandwagon. The economy was doing well before Trump ever got into office. Do you think he right to support Roy Moore ?
You find it hard to debate the actual points raised so mention my thong or the totally seperate issue of the economy. You must be taking tips from Kelly Anne Conway lol. |

Why does it concern you what other people are concerned over?
I'm concerned because I'm an American citizen, I'm concerned because I have family there, because I'm worried about what is happening there. About his judgement, his values, the racism, the sexism, the lies, the nepotism.
About hope being replaced with hate and fear, the resurgence of Nazism. Sure there's crazy leaders in lots of countries, is that meant to justify something? A crazy leader in the hot seat of the most powerful country in a bit more worrisome. |

Thanks, that means absolutely nothing to me. Justifying something on the grounds that there is something worse is pretty anorexic thinking, incidentally a favourite of Trump. |

Are there actual Irish people ignoring the fact he's supporting a paedophile on the basis that he hasnt fucked up the economy?
Not even that he improved it, or fixed it, just that he hasnt fucked it up yet. And thats only because he hasnt passed any spending or tax bills yet.
Id expect that sort of pig ignorant crap from Americans, but it never fails to surprise me to see Irish people swallowing that bullshit.

Either way I'm bored about Trump.
I don't respect him and I listen to none of it.
I'm sure he'll be impeached at some stage if he's as bad as everyone says.
Does he support a paedophile or does he not . I was busy googling ebhophile a few minutes ago... That is something else altogether.. .hard to know with a war machine of "opinion" against him...there's fake news on top of fake news on top of fake news.
It's increasingly difficult to know what the truth is. |

Does being a paedophile require a conviction? Because you must have a different definition to the rest of us.
Hes admitted to dating and having contact with 16 year olds when he was in his 30s. 9 women have come forward with claims of sexual abuse, one as young as 13 when it happened. He was barred from the Gadsden mall years ago for harrassing underage women long before he considered running for political office.
Local police have confirmed that an officer was assigned the task to keep Moore away from cheerleaders while he was district attorney due to his harassment of them.
There is a long history with co-workers, local residents, police and the victims themselves all confirming stories about him. Most republicans have distanced themselves from him as a result but because Trump says its not true some people lap it up |

Regardless of my opinion or anyones opinion on Trump he is pushing for the election of a man who allegedly had sex with teens in his 30s.
He was thrown out of office in 2003 for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the courthouse rotunda.
In 2015, he was back at proving his credentials as the epitome of judicial activism after he issued an order to Alabama probate court judges stating that they should refuse to recognize or issue licenses for same-sex marriages, in defiance of a federal court order.
Judge Moore claimed, in 2014, that the First Amendment only applies to Christians because "Buddha didn't create us, Mohammed didn’t create us, it was the God of the Holy Scriptures" who created us. "They didn't bring the Koran over on the pilgrim ship," he continued. "Let's get real, let's go back and learn our history. Let's stop playing games."
On November 9th, Leigh Corfman alleged that Moore had a sexual encounter with her when she was 14 years old and Moore was 32 years old. Some of the details have been confirmed by her mother and by court records. Three other women have also alleged that Moore attempted to initiate sexual encounters when they were between the ages of 16 and 18.
Shortly thereafter, another woman independently came forward and claimed that Moore attacked her in his car when she was 16 and he was district attorney of Etowah County. Part of her evidence included Moore's signature in her high school yearbook. Through her lawyer, she challenged Moore to deny the mounting evidence under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee. It was also reported that Moore was banned in the early 1980s from the local "Gadsden Mall and the YMCA for his inappropriate behavior of soliciting sex from young girls".Two women have subsequently come forward to confirm that Moore spent a lot of time at the mall creeping in teenage girls in the late 1970s to early 1980s, including themselves.[30] A retired Alabama police officer said that police were assigned to keep Moore away from cheerleaders at ball games during the 1980s because of his predilection for young girls.
For a man like Trumo who pushed conspiracy theories such as 1000's of muslims cheering 9/11 in New Jersey/birther issue he sure has a hard time with what seems to be sunstantial evidence in this case.
Even if he turned the economy from a wreck to 0% unemployment and record growth it still does not excuse the preference for a man of Moores type to be elected.
If you had a 14 yr old daughter and your local 32 yr old td was sleeping with her would you vote for him, invite him around for tea etc |

You might wanna clarify your first paragraph there. There is NOTHING wrong with someone in their 30s sleeping with someone in their teens unless the teen is below the age of consent. There are 17 and 18 year olds having sex with people in their 40s in here ffs. There's no law against that |

I did clarify further down, not sure if you read it. I agree by the way there is nothing illegal about a 32 yr old sleeping with an 18 yr old. The ages Moore has been accused of are underage as I have mentioned . |

"So he hasn't then"
A person doesn't need to be conviction to be a kiddy fiddler. Just need a conviction to be a convicted one. Plenty of priests around the country who got away with it for years and who knows how many were never brought to justice. It does not mean they are not pedophiles.
At the same time any accusation at all doesn't have to hold up as fact. To believe always there is no smoke without fire is to lack critical rhinking skills and essentially leave yourself open to any lie being some nit true based on no smoke without fire.
Taking that into account the evidence being offered up seems quite substantial at the moment. Moore has said he never dated a girl without the mothers permission. The notion a mother may have been complicit in her own daughters non consensual sex which is what it would be at alleged ages has nothing to do with the legality of it.
I've also heard people defend him because Mary and Joseph had Jesus when Mary was a teenager. You'd want to ne utterly devoid of any morality to justify alleged actions with those sentiments.
His "god" once flooded the earth apparently and killed everyone bar some lad named Noah and his family. My morality will not come from a fictional jewish zombie telepathic carpenter who ironically died on a cross but really didn't die and actually had a 3 day kip.
Spare me the morality of the bigoted extreme right wing christians. |

Without condoning any of it.. Or really giving a shit about some redneck.. I'd like to point out that you are using the term evidence when it sounds like they are simple allegations.
I'm always a little bit suspicious when allegations of bad behaviour are only reported decades after the fact (especially when they concerns people with fame or power).
Human memories are highly fallible and who knows what agendas might be at play. |

Neither has Jimmy Saville, both have very credible evidence against them though. Or do you believe that people should stop judging Saville as guilty since he never had a conviction.
The case against Moore is currently ongoing, its not appropriate for him to be running for office when there is this amount of credible evidence against him. |

The human sensory system itself is open to both auditory and visual hallucinations. That is for certain on a grand scale of things. I see where you are coming from as regards timing of allegations . There are a multitude of high profile cases being reported recently on both sides of the political spectrum . If it were a democratic candidate doing the same as Moore I would hold him/her in equal contempt .
Keep in mind the power that people of power have over those who do not. The human brain also has a capacity to blank off traumatic events from memory or at very least bury them very very deep.
Psychological triggers such as others coming forward against a certain individual may manifest a renewed vigour in which to seek justice for oneself despite being a victim decades earlier.

Keep hearing the stock market is doing great ... that's fine for those who have the income to invest. Plenty of Americans will be far worse off with spiralling healthcare costs whilst the rich get tax breaks for their private jets.
Also Russia as it has been claimed all along is showing to be quite a juicy "nothing" burger as the weeks go by.
Funny to see how many of the right wing Americans fit in to the least educated states/top 1%/evangelical christians who are bible literalists. They literally cannot distinguish fact from fiction so are an easily maleable electorate once the "god card" is played. Bigotry dressed up as religious freedom is still bigotry.
White males still overwhelmingly voted for Moore.
Black females voted 90+% for Jones
90 min waits to vote in many african american areas whilst little to no wait in white areas. Of all places to lose a republican seat. Trump endorsed Luther Strange and he lost. Now Roy Moore lol. Tired of winning . What a moron.
The absolute glory in this irony is many of the ancestors of those who were once enslaved to carry the Doug Jones.
