I know this is not a typical forum subject ,,, but , today is the first anniversary of my fathers death . I had a really bad time getting over it , but finally feeling better and I know he's in a better place ( it was very bad at the end ) . I just wanted to send love and good thoughts to all on here who've suffered a loss , family , friend or even a loved pet . There is light at the end of the tunnel, and time does numb the pain somewhat. Love to all xxx xx Grainne |

Hi Grainne,just want to say how tough today must have been for you,am a nurse and have had the privilege of comforting and carring for loved ones in their final hours.I know for sure Grainne that their spirit lives on forever.. Warm hug

Oh my god , I'm so sorry for your loss . It's one thing burying someone who is old and at the end of their life , a totally different story burying a child . I don't know how you got through it , sending love xxx |

It's never easy lost my dad last Nov and my man July gone . 8 months between them. Christmas I'm.not looking forward to this yr . Make most and spend time wit ur loved ones when u can life's way too short. |

So sorry for you loss.. doesn't get easy i lost my dad two day before christmas day then my brother and his wife had their first child christmas day.. talk about mixed emotions ..  |

"Never ever hold pain in . It's good to let it out and speake how you feel . I watched my mum go very slowely but my dad got a good death . "
The opposite with my parents , mum went very quickly 5 years ago , but my poor dad had a very difficult death , to be honest it was really bad at the end and we were all telling him we loved him and that it was ok to let go , but he wouldn't and he just hung on . The staff at the nursing home were absolutely amazing and did everything to make him comfortable and make his passing painless ( after seeing all that , I honestly don't think that anyone would be against elective euthanasia, my poor dad said he wanted to die long before the end ) , they are absolute angels , angels walking amongst us , xx |

You nurses do an amazing job , thank you so much for your service to humanity . And you're right I could really feel him around me yesterday ( anniversary was yesterday) , but I do feel his love around me all the time . I love him and miss him so much  |
