Hard to say really. I try to keep our photos up to date simply because sometimes we are fit and other times we couldn't be arsed. I would rather not have photo's up that give people a false impression of us but that's why we describe ourselves as average.
. I would never comment on whether we look good or not, that's for others to decide

"I think I look pretty similar. I don’t use filters or photo enhancement stuff.
No point in trying to portray something I’m not. "
I don't think using a filter to change photo colouring is really someone trying to portray themselves to be something they're not. That's a bit of a random statement. |

I use some filters when I need to hide some imperfections or my face...I think the key is balance and don't crop to much btw I think I look as good as my pictures |

"Yeah the camera lies. The lens the lighting the angles can flatter or not. Some people are more photogenic than others. With most people using their mobiles, the options become more limited."
The camera never lies but the person using it might. 90% of our photo's are taken on my phone. You can easily manipulate photo's on a phone if you want to |

Nothing wrong with making sure a photo is the best possible picture / representation of yourself (haven’t we all taken and deleted a few before settling on one to upload?)
Now just gonna grab photoshop here and stretch something out a bit |

have a look at this very short video,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTPCRMSZkh8
As a general rule the wider the lens (lower number) the wider the subject gets stretched out. As the lens increases the more it compresses in and up, which tends to be more flattering.
I can make a 5 foot person look much taller if I shoot from a low angle and may catch unflattering double chins. Shooting that same person from above can be the inverse.
For cock shot fans, take a photo of your pride and joy using the front and rear cameras on your phone without using the zoom or flash. One will be way more flattering than the other.
As a rule, direct flash is not flattering. |

True but most cameras have auto lens correction even at at 1.6/1.8f . I'm just saying that most editing is done post shooting rather than the fault or setting of the camera. Most including ourselves let a bit of vanity creep in every now and then but the best DSLR in the world can't fix me on a bad day |

Hmm more often it's the opposite though I find can happen also. you can mess around with pictures alot "
or as we found out on one meet with a couple... the pictures were genuine and looked good just the date they were taken were suspect ...they were taken 12 years previous |

Post processing aside because that's another world. Wedding photos will look more flattering than 'warts n all' passport photo. Thats what you're paying for, to have your good points enhanced and your not so good points diminshed. Outfit, makeup and hair all go a long way, of course. |

I prefer cam over sending pics for few reasons:
* I don't photograph well, although I have been told many times that I look handsome
* cam is better as it allows me to add my voice, which gives better impression of the experience you will have with me when we meet
* I also don't like my pictures out and about, as many people aren't discreet and it's better if they don't have face pics of other fabbers |
