All the schools/colleges closed. Most workplaces closed. But I work from home so I have no excuse grrr lol

Every think will be closed tomorrow. It's just a question of when. And that's the problem, communication has been very slow from the Government. Luas/Dublin bus should all be shutting down tomorrow and announcing it now, or at the very least announcing that services will cease from 12pm or something. |

Just back from the shops. Food and drink larder is stocked up. I'm not going anywhere and when the electricity is gone, I will light a candle for all those who rely on electricity heating and cooking, while I sit beside my Ray Byrne with a batch of scones in it and the boiling kettle on top of it.

Noticed that when they realised it could track east it ceased to be a tropical storm and became an ex hurricane again. And suddenly now it could cause heavy drizzle in Dalkey there is now a risk to life.

So the whole country is on red alert, schools closed, etc. Yet the majority of my neighbours decide to put their bins out tonight for collection tomorrow?! Maybe I'm being silly, but I would have thought this was a bad idea under the circumstances   |

A friends hubby was called twice already today in the rescue helicopter to save fucking idiots who thought it was a good idea to go into the sea. I wish they could be prosecuted for wreck less endangerment of emergency services crews. |
