First music you bought
Jump to: Newest in thread
I know, it's probably been done before but the First Concert thread made me think of it.
So what was the first music you paid cash for?
What format was it? 45/33/cassette/cd/digital download?
My first 45(single) was Bruce Springsteen's The River.
First 33 (album/LP) was Deep Purple - Deepest Purple.
First cassette was Mama's Boys.
I think my first CD was Pearl Jam - Ten.
I don't buy digital. |

"Morning pal.
My 1st was The Flight of Icarus by Iron Maiden on 45 vinyl.
Think I have that in the poster sleeve
Good man John. I've feck all from the leather jacket and patches times. "
Had to throw them into the charity shop when I finally admitted they didn't fit me any more
Still have a bullet belt somewhere! |

You must have had them in the clothes shrinking wardrobe.
Time is a cruel mistress pal.

Queen, Don't stop me now on 7" vinyl at the behest of my older brother! Cost 50p in Dolphin Discs on Talbot Street.
When I got my dad's turntable last year it was the first record I played on it after setting it up! |

Seems to be a few rockers n headbangers here.
Just thought I should mention, listen to Kaleo. They're playing Dublin in a month or so. Might still be tickets for the second night, or last minute for either. Just a heads up. I love them! |

Can't remember having bought any cassettes, I usually made tapes from all my dad's and uncle's music. My first CD was Blur - The great escape, followed closely by Oasis - What's the Story (Morning Glory) and Prodigy Fat of the Land |

I still have all the ones I bought first and the equipment to play them on. Must dig out an old tape deck and hook it into the system, even just to show the kids, and make them listen to "real" music
Ah, brings me back. I remember making slow tapes of songs from Metal bands and ladies were seriously impressed. Then I'd play them what those bands normally play. That was fun |

"Skid row to my shame lol"
Skid Row were awesome. Sebastian Bach is a great vocalist. Have seen him perform with Guns n Roses a few times.
Also liked his contribution to the Chinese Democracy album. (Mike) |
