It’s not that far.

I’ve never understood the hate for Ryanair, you get what you pay for and like them or not they have revolutionised air travel.

I've flown with them a lot and never had a problem.

Same. Flew with them many times and they have consistently improved over the years.

Also agree that they revolutionised air travel and allowed more of us to get to many more places we would never have seen otherwise. I'm not referring to the 30km trip from where they landed to where you thought you were going

I'm certainly a fan of their business model, and hopefully this hasn't exposed a chink in their armour, for other parties to manipulate, they have more than enough cash to throw at the problem..cant see there reputation too adversely affected.

I'm not knocking their airline or business model, yes, you get what you pay for, cheap affordable travel, even if the seating is somewhat cramped.I have flown with them many times from various airports, but what sticks in my mind is a recent trip from Dublin, and getting to the departure gate did feel like I was walking to my destination.

Love hate relationship.

Can't fly with them and cant fly without them.

We booked a flight for november for €250 return for two of us.

Same flight with Aerlingus was €520.

If there is only €50 in the difference between both carries then id pick Aerlingus. Very rare they have bad publicity.

And please don't say there is no such thing as bad publicity.

There is more to this than holidays not being allocated.

A company as big as ryanair who have been around for years don't suddenly forget the staff need holidays.

Holidays is Ryanairs business after all.

truth of the matter is all there pilots and cabin crew have left due to being ill treated

such as

pilots and crew have to pay for coffee water and food at menu prices

cabin crew dont get paid when theres a delay

have to pay for there uniforms which are secondhand

i could go on , however i do know as i drive pilots and crew around

Ryanair were infamous for poaching Pilots, trained by other airlines, meaning no loyalty to the brand. They'll be regretting that now, with hundreds leaving....you don't throw 18 million away, over a rostering mix up....and that turns out just to be the first installment!! They're clearly in diffs and trawling the world for cheaper pilots to employ, by all reports

Tyrone, Ireland

Civil Aviation Authority has launched an investigation into them for "persistently misleading passengers" regarding their rights. So that could be interesting.

I wonder how many pilots with Ryan air took up the ten k to cancel their leave

Mr o leary helped build a company providing low cost airlines travel to all there's no point in us complaining about how he treats staff. We by flying Ryan air supported his position on staff terms and conditions and the staff by accepting them also signaled their support. Maybe this will make them look at the conditions of their staff with a bit more entusam for retention of staff in to the future

Had two short domestics in November cancelled - to be fair whilst it’s a pain to rearrange - they gave me an £80 voucher for each booking

Only time I’ve ever had an issue with them

This coming November?

Only reason i ask is becuase we are booked for November,Cork to Gran Canaria, and have received no cancellation email. If they are giving you that much notice then maybe our flights are ok.

You should be fine guys - they just announced removal of all Belfast to Gatwick flights today for next six months. If your route still exists on their site then you will have no issues

That is not a Ryanair issue - that is the Airport Authority
