Hi guys, bit nervous here with first post. Anyone interested in taking part in a 10k or half marathon (maybe full) and a few beers after? Could be a good night away. Loads of events around the country every weekend. The craic is always good post race.

I'm afraid I would not be able for that . You have to train or be very fit for those type of runs

I've ran marathons before and would be interested in doing more but would need to get out running regularly again to get my fitness levels back up first.

I hate long distance running on its own. Throw in plenty of obstacles call it a tough guy, toughmudder, or a hell and back and I’m there.

It was a total disaster to be honest. I had to park and walk 4km to the race and it was late starting, no stewards etc. A lot of people didn't get to race as you say.
