Yes, let's go back to the good old days when Aer Lingus had a monopoly here and you could get breakfast on a forty minute flight, even if you had to remortgage the house just to fly to England. Good times!
.
It's bizarre all the same |

Do you remember what it was like before Ryanair? Flight was a luxury. |

Exactly...it used to cost about 6/7 weeks wages to fly to New York |

" If ya don't like them then don't use them! Pay the extra to use a different airline. Michael O'Leary won't lose any sleep over it!"
I agree.
I also think he handled the press conference very well earlier. He held his hands up....said they messed up. Shit happens.
In saying that I do feel for the passengers left stranded. Must be awful.

I flew aerlingus this year, costed me 50 quid more, departure and arrival in the late afternoon from/to terminal B - means far less walking to the gate and no stairs up to the plane - to the airport way closer to my destination than the one with Ryanair, had more leg space and didn't have to listen to stupid announcements/ads during the flight. The 50 quid was worth every penny! |

My stress levels have been through the roof for flights this Thurs but found out last night mine are still going. I would not be rushing to book with them again though! |

Often has nothing to do with anyone being a cheapskate.
Ryanair can be the only Irish airline that goes to some airports. |

Very true but also Ryanair mixed up changed the landscape of the air travelling business: more destinations, more frequent flights, cheaper tickets etcetera |

Absolutely. And made flying affordable for a lot more people.
For short haul flights I was always willing to put up with the less comfortable conditions to have more spending money at the other end. |
