It's not chocolate Sally.

In Europe, a chocolate bar must contain at least 20 per cent cocoa solids to qualify as chocolate.

But in the US, that figure can be as low as 10 per cent.

It is also believed that Hershey's puts its milk through a process called controlled lipolysis.

This breaks down the fatty acids in the milk and produces butyric acid - the chemical that gives vomit its very distinctive smell and acrid taste.

There was a big furore in the US last year whereby Hershey's got the US government to ban the importation of chocolate. Most notably Cadburys as it was becoming too popular.

I think they have Cadburys over there but the US version is completely different.

A lot of stores who imported and sold cadburys had to close as a result.

American so called "chocolate" is rank. That's why they need to mix it with peanuts or put it in a shell like m&m's.

ay they're the nicest of the roses... only on the whips do I not bother with the nuts...they are usually not even stuck on and are floating around the packet too....if they were pistachios I'd eat them.

Ah the Walnut Whips are crap now. They are smooth and don't have the swirled chocolate like they used to.

Bounty Dark is another winner with me too.

Oh and Lindt dark with chilli. Always reminds me of the Chocolat movie.

Does no damage whatsoever to the environment but if you leave that wafer in the tea for too long. Well then don't come back on the forum with your chocolatey fingers.
