Well an interesting question. There is music and certain parts of culture I like from different eras. I am glad to live in this era now though. It is a time where technology helps us keep in contact with loved ones who have emigrated. Medical advances are helping us live longer and healthier lives. We live an era where the msm does not control our views , where we have the choice to seek out independent media if we so wish not under the murdoch empire etc. We live in an era where we are not under the thumb of the church. We live at a time where gay rights are finally coming ibto line with same sex marriage etc. We live at a time where mental health has moved gradually towards being recognised as important as physical health and a cure for metal health issues isn't just a case of "manning up".
There is no doubt about it a lot wrong with this day and age. Addiction to technology and our brains being rewired by likes on social media. The kids of today will surely not have the same real life social skills as previous generations. The narcissism that is pertruding through the addiction of social media is poisonous to the elevation of a higher intellectual consciousness. People are in awe of the kardashians and are bored by philosophy and science.
Google is probably as good as it is bad. People can search out evidence that suits their side of their argument. In 2017 there is people that believe some quite ludicrous things. From the earth being flat to the vaccine scare mongering to the world being 6,000 years old. People don't believe in evolution as they will say "if we rvolved from monkeys why are there still monkeys?". Not exactly a trumo card in a debate against the theory of evolution. As for those who say it is just a theory.. science uses the word theory in a much different context to the public in day to day use. Gravity is also a theory so jump off a 10 story building and see how it being just a theory works out.
Many of those who deny climate change have absolutely zero knowledge of climate science yet their thoughts are controlled by either right wing politics or some fantady skyfairy.
The information is available to navigate the world in a much more positive way. Unfortunately people don't know where/choose not to/ignore it.
Rant over but as I said I am happier to ve living nkw than in any previous era. |

Good answer. The thing is if you saw it would you believe it ? We as humans are prone to inattentional blindness and often what we perceive to see is not actually the case at all. It is the reason eyewitness statements in court are so unrelibale. I have seen magicians do wonderful things close up that I struggle to explain that seem a lot harder than turning water into wine lol.
Even if there was a man named Jesus who it appeared could turn water into wine there is no evidence he could or that he was conveived through a divine birth. People have a bias towards long held myths where they require an exceptionally low standard of evidence. The fact someone told you Jesus done x,y,z does not make it neccessarily so, the same applies to any of the ancient greek/egyptian gods etc.
Jesus if he did exist actually represents a stunningly accurate plagarism of a lot of earlier god's myths and hence if there was such a man I don't believe his story was foretold by other civilisations. I believe his story to be an amended combined plagarism of earlier godlike figures (horus, dionysus, attis etc) |
