I was in Chapters book store and they had a radio on. I thought it was an fictional audio book they were playing in the store, kinda like "War Of The Worlds"...
When I got home I realised the truth... |

I was doing housework, heavily pregnant with my 3rd child. My mam rang and told me to turn on the TV quick. Couldn't believe what I was seeing, then the 2nd plane hit the other tower
I'll never forget it

Working for an airline in their contact centre - that was a fun time when we didn’t know at first which planes had crashed and air travel went into shutdown |

I was working in Tescos and overheard two customers talking about it. I 'just' thought two planes had crashed. Didn't realise the enormity of it til I got home. |

"I was working for security at Heathrow. Just started my shift when the airport went into lockdown. It was madness for days after when flights were cancelled." I say was very crazy in airports at that time I visited new York like 5 years later and security was very strict |

Has anyone ever been to the site of the twin towers. I am putting it off every year defiantly next year. I always took interest in the events some brilliant programmes about it. I heard the museum is amazing but chilling. |

Was there a couple of months later. The rescue crews were still working at the sight. It had a very eerie silence around it. All the subway stations were covered in photos of missing people.
Very sad. "
