We are looking at hiring a cruiser on the Shannon, its quite expensive. Is it worth doing ?

If you get a few together and split cost it will ease the cost..i've no idea how fabbing would work but sounds like a good idea..know people who did it as a booze cruise and said it was great craic..

Best of luck with it

Did this before. It was great craic, was expensive and lashed the whole time except for the last day.

Yes it's rather expensive but you've to consider that you have your means of transport and accommodation in one. Plus it's great fun, great landscape and very chilling. You can moor in lovely remote places or just beside the pub. Did it many times, eventually did the full stretch of the Shannon and the river Erne. Nicest part is the upper Shannon.

You'd need to do it fairly lively, no point in trying to arrange in October

I've also spent a few days on the Shannon and really enjoyed it , probably the most enjoyable Holliday I've been on and probably not really any more expensive than a few nights in a good hotel !
