Operation sausage fest is a go.
So listen up you fabulous fellas, after gauging the interest with the first post, and receiving some advice from my co conspirators, we're gonna have ourselves a little boys night out.
Where - Dublin
When - Friday 1st of September
Why - cause it'll be fun (I hope)
So the plan is to meet up in town for a few drinks and hopefully a good time, we'll then hop from pub to pub untill we find a place where we all enjoy, so if you've got a favourite place let me know and I'll add it to the tour.
All guys are welcome, if you wanna go just pm me, I'll add you to the list and message you closer to the date to give you the first pub name and the time window that we'll be there for.
Unverified guys are welcome too, just send me a pic of yourself with your "can I come" message, holding a piece of paper that says "The boys are back in town, September 1st"
Looking forward to this guys. First time I ever planned anything of the kind, I'm a little nervous but if it goes well I might do another in the future, might even make it co-ed.  |

Thanks Jilly, we'll play it by ear on the night, if everyone is enjoying a certain pub then we'll stay but if people want to move then we'll do that. I'll try my best to keep everyone, or at least the majority, happy. |

Also can't PM Jay.
If the ladies organised a similar girls only night, on the same night, then if the lads felt like it, we could possibly organise to meet somewhere at around 11pm.
That would give both groups a good few hours of chatting (bitching! Never!) About the other side and then ignore all they said previously and chat away to each other like old friends

Damn John get out of my head - I actually had this idea already, it was my next plan for a night out, but I wanted to
A: start out with something small an easy to find my organising legs
And
B: find someone capable and willing to organise the ladies side of the night
Not sure I'll do it this time, but know it's definitely on my to do list.

Ladies will organise themselves, so that's not your issue.
You just keep doing what you're doing and if a meeting of the clans sounds like a good idea later in the night, then so be it.
If the ladies organised similar, then you just keep in touch with main female organiser. Job done. Simples |

Jay, here a lil advise from a lady who has organised a few things in her life : stick to your initial plan!
Don't get diverted by some horny John's after midnight ideas (sorry John, just saying it as it is).
Bringing those two groups together (beside that there isn't a female one yet) half way through the night won't work. It isn't a good idea IMO. |

Gemma actually had that idea awhile back, we had planned it as a hen and stag party in the city, we plan on doing it next year. Meeting up later in the evening as such. I think it would be class. Well done on organising the drinks Jay, i am sure it will be a savage evening.

Either way it's a good idea, least I thought so when I came up with it - hopefully one of us will execute it sometime down the line....I'll probably leave it to you two though, since I'm not even sure I've a head for this organising lark as of yet.

It takes a lot to stick your neck out and arrange a social meet for a few.
It is a very sorry state when the organiser is stood up 100% by all people saying they're in.
I'm just glad I got to spend some time with the lovely Jay yesterday.
Hope it doesn't put him or others off organising another social. |

That is disgraceful... I can understand if a last minute emergency happens but for 100% no show well I'm speechless...
I've had the pleasure of meeting Jay on a couple of occasions and he's an absolutely fantastic guy..shame on those who didn't show as it takes time and effort to organise a social...
Interested to see if any of the above names are on my invite list for next weekend...

Happened to me last year my friend,had a great venue,food,dj,late bar,paid a big deposit and lost it,but don't give up,im going to try again,keep your chin up I plan to hold one again soon. |

Seriously? That's ridiculous!
I spoke to Jay well in advance and explained why I couldn't make it, as I'd been looking forward to it myself.
To everyone whining about not being able to get verified, you missed a great guy and what could have been a great night.

Thanks guys, but it wasn't all that bad.....well no it was a train wreck , but I was warned before hand so it's half my own fault.

Surprised was no show as some guys seemed excited about going I already said from start that I couldn't make it as had other plans but that is harsh no one turning up bad form |
